yeah i really hated my drobot at first and thought he was useless, but now that i fully upgraded him he is pretty amazing and is one of my favourite characters.

I got quite a few at the same time as the starter: Sonic Boom, Stealth Elf, Eruptor, Chop Chop, Bash, Terrafin, Zap, Prism Break and Drobot.

i was going to start out with just getting one in a single-pack. i wanted to get stump smash as my first one but i also wanted to get flameslinger and drobot at some point to so i just ended up getting the three-pack instead of just the single-pack.

first thing i got my hands on after the starter pack was... the 3 pack, bash, chop chop, and eruptor... next was stealth elf and sonic boom single packs... then i also got terrafin and the adventure pack. all this on first buy after the starter pack....

Apart from the Eruptor my son got before we even got the game (and I use the term "we" loosely as he will not receive it until Chrissie), I was given a free Drill Sargeant as part of my deal when I ordered the game.

In fact, I was actually given 2 of them in the end and told to simply swap the second one for another char instead of bothering to return it. If I had of known back then how hard they were to get a hold of, I would have kept it. However, I swapped it for a Stealth Elf as I knew my kids would think that char really cool...

I will have the game, 2 triple packs and 2 more character, here in Portugal we don't have exclusives, Drill Sargeant and Whirlwind are in every store.

Not anymore, but about a month before the game was released they had a 'Skylanders Live!' Tour around Europe where the prizes included the game figures, promotional shirts and badges, etc.
