Been out of the internet loop most of the day. It was acting wonky.

In anycase, I am at it again. I am going to buy a console version to keep sealed, along with my sealed 3DS version.

Here is the million dollar question. in everyones' opinions, which version would most likely be the hardest to find later on in life? Wii, PC, 360, PS3?

Tell me why you think which version would be the hardest to find.

Hm, hard to say.

For Dawn of the Dragon, PS3 was the rarest. But then again, another game I've forgotten the title to (lol fail) was most sought after on Xbox.

Overall, I think there's a good chance they'll all be pretty easy to obtain, even a lot later on down the line. Even the old Pokemon games are still easy enough to find. Finding a sealed one warrants a higher price tag, but still not much above the original retail price in the UK.

Perhaps wait a little more? Then see which one has sold the least? Otherwise, I'd say PS3.

The X360 is now sold out (from a local seller) and they are still waiting to have more.

So the X360 version is the one that is harder to get, BUT, they are doing some more now, so the X360 will be the one that will be the more present on the market soon enough?

PC. We checked out like 3 different stores (EB games, JB hi fi and the Warehouse) and only 1 had the PC version (JB hi fi) and they only had 2 copies.

I'd say PC version, purely because I think more of the people who this is aimed at (younger people) would be playing this on a console than a computer. On top of which, if you were to sell it in the future, people are always going to have PCs around, whereas the consoles will become obsolete.

I would have, and have thought about it, just for the packaging. However, when I asked if those were boxed by Best Buy (the store I keep seeing them at), or by Activision, they said Activision. The problem with this, is that Best Buy states that it wouldn't include the Volcanic Vault, so I just passed on it.

I had a PC version in my hand last night, but decided on something else. I don't really consider this as being shady, because in time, all of my game collection will serve a purpose for this world, but this is what I did. I grabbed a second Wii version, WITH a Volcanic Vault (own 4 now). I bought it. I went to Toys R Us, and bought a Wii version, because they are giving away a 20 dollar gift card with any starter pack purchase. I will take the one from TRU back to Best Buy and get my money back, thus I got a sealed Wii version, with Volcanic Vault (wanted all versions that came with Volcanic Vault but first Wii version was bought at Walmart two days before street date) and a 20 dollar gift card to boot. I will just spend it on more Skylanders when they come out, mixed with the 3 vouchers I should get for a free Skylander from TRU.

So now, my starter packs look like this -

3DS (opened)
3DS (sealed)
Wii (opened; got it two days before street date at walmart)
Wii (sealed; Volcanic Vault; will be my sealed console version)
360 (opened; Volcanic Vault opened)
360 (opened; gave to son, but he said I could have the Volcanic Vault which I am keeping sealed)
PS3 (opened; Volcanic Vault sealed)

So I own, personally, 6 copies of the game. Opened Wii version now sits dormant, but that's the copy my kids played first, since I got it two days before release. I play my opened 360 copy in my man cave, where I spam Lair of Kaos and Heroics to level up. My son plays his 360 copy in his room, on his 360. My daughter plays in the living room on my PS3. However, when we all want to play together, we go to the PS3 version in the living room. 3DS version I will play and beat someday down the line.

EDIT: As for how my video game collection will serve a purpose to the world? One day, I will obviously die. My game collection can't serve me when I'm dead, so best to try and give it to the world. World history (through donation to a museum) is one route. The other route is to make sure my collection is given to someone in my family, who will sell it, in order to give the money to a charity.

I have never seen the pc version but I don't think people like it because it dosen't look as easy to play like 360 ps3 wii and 3ds

^It's exactly the same. And I like it. It's actually kinda easier than the others I would think, you have more options of what buttons to use. For walking you can use either the WASD or arrow keys, and for attacking you can use the IJKL keys or the mouse. And you don't have battery issues.

Plus it's the easiest one to hack, smilie

Plus I believe you can use a gamepad if you have one, if you're not a keyboard user?
