So, urm, yeah... Do you think SKL will flop or succeed? My money is on succeed, if AV plan on giving it as much attention as they appear to be. Afterall, who'll buy their plastic junk if Guitar Hero doesn't exist anymore? D:

I dunno. Depends on how many kids hear about this and beg their parents for the $70 to go buy it. So far it's looking like something the kids I used to babysit would absolutely love.

It won't sell a thing in Ireland, other than if I and a few other Spyro fans buy it....(I don't think even I will....)

However, I think it will sell well in general....

I think it'll be like the modern Pokemon to younger kids, especially boys- they'll take the trading cards to school and play with the action figures and game afterschool. Plus, they'll probabley buy several versions for different consoles- they might buy a DS one for on the go, for example. AV have won here, you have to admit; now, if they get their advertising right it could be a huge hit. Hopefully a huge hit for Spyro, too.

Dawn of the Dragon is the best Spyro game since the original trilogy.

I'm on the fence about this. It depends on who's developing, and how much attention AV will give it.

If I like it, It's fine either way. Odd thing to say, but listen:
If I like it and it succeeds, then that's great, I get to keep playing fun games!
If I like it and it flops, Then I'll be sad but deal, because I can rest easy knowing that at least Spyro went out on what I can call a high note.

Don't hate me, but from what I've seen I'm not liking it. It's just Spyro thrown in with a bunch of random characters. He's the ONLY Spyro character that's been shown so far. Not even Sparx. smilie
This doesn't feel like Spyro at all.
And I'm not saying this because I hate his design. I think he looks cute, tbh.

Once the smoke and mirrors subside, and I actually play the game, then I'll be able to give a sound judgment on this game.

From what I've seen from the trailer. . . I'm still not impressed: It looks like a City of Hero's rip off from just the trailer, and to be honest its too early to really start sharpening pitch forks and lighting torches.

Too early for me to decide. I was excited about the figurines at first, but upon further review they're not very spectacular looking. On the OTHER hand, the game itself looks gorgeous and I still love li'l Spyro's design this time around despite him seemingly being shoehorned into the game for sales, but like I said. Too early to tell.

Totally lovin' the green wizards and squidheaded guys I got a glimpse of in the trailer.

Unfortunately, almost all of the Spyro fanbase who are complaining are too quick to judge on a game they find will suck all because of a character design...

Who hate the game more? TLOS Fan or classic fan?
I'm a Spyro fan and not a TLOS or classic fan.
I like both series and I like Skylanders.
People who like classic or TLOS only for me are not true fans.
True fans like everythings from Spyro :3

That doesn't make any sense to dislike a game you haven't even played yourself. Just because Spyro's design changed, doesn't mean this game is going to be bad. It's overreacting to say that you hate this game all because of a character design...

What other games?



To name a few...
Crash, Devil May Cry, Pokemon, Invisimals, any kids movie tie-in game that was an action/adventure....
