In a little PlayStation booklet...magazine...thing I got when I first got a PS2, Sly 3: Honour Among Thieves was categorized as a platformer. smilie

Eh, I still think ANB and TEN were platformers. Maybe it wasn't their main category, but other than action/adventure, it's the most dominant.

Yeah, I agree. Loads of games add it in, but I don't think a platforming games requires button mashing as it's primary action.

The official, unfortunate end of Krome Cynder.

Perhaps future games will include Krome-style Cynder though, rather than DotD-style.

Well, that doesn't neccassarily mean they're keeping DotD Cynder & Spyro. Maybe they'll have a different design/style.

I am so impatient, I really wish we knew how far along they are with the game..

EDIT - Hrmmm, So i checked back to That Catherine Wolpe's LinkedIN account again.. and it turns out "Spyro's Kingdom" has disappeared from her page as well.. :/
First, Tom Bromhead removed "Spyro's Kingdom", and now her!? Why would she remove it also??

That's what I'm hoping as well. I'm hoping Activision's just trying to keep a close eye on all of the information until they decide to release info on this game. I don't even want to have to wonder if they're cancelling it. :/

Same here. I've, we've been waiting for it for two years and then they decide to cancel it. If they do that, I'll kill them. I hope they're only hiding the info because they don't want us to know. But I don't see the point in hiding it...

The movie was never announced to begin with. It is because plans can and do change that companies do not give out info.

Neither was the game, but we knew it was real nonetheless.

They cancelled the movie without announcing the movie in the first place, but they knew we knew it existed. Then they cancelled it without telling us.

They cancelled the Crash Bandicoot game, didn't they?

This had better not be next.
I'm assuming they're trying to hide the info, but you just never know with Activision.. They've let our hopes down so many times and they've barely even made one game yet. I'm just afraid this might get cancelled, but I really really hope not.

crash game cus they layed off the whole department working on that game...
I'm pretty sure they wouldn't cancel something just becouse we found out about it...

I'm not saying that's why they would cancel it. Yeah, that would be stupid. i don't think Activision's that stupid. But what I'm saying is, maybe they cancel it for a different reason, and we happen to find leaked information about it, only to be dissappointed later because we find out it's cancelled.

Ahh, I'm just being pessimistic smilie

They're most likely deleting the mentionings of the game to try to keep it under a low profile.

From the distributor, not the company producing the movie. They had no concept of keeping secrets. Google "filetypesmiliedf site:velvetoctopus.com", and you can find what the password was to reach their files regarding upcoming releases at that time.

Not many chances of going back to platform style gaming.

It definatly won't be on the PS2, because Activision have stopped publishing for the PS2... But the Wii/DS exclusive thing isn't confirmed yet... And even if it was a Wii/DS exclusive, it may be non-cannon... I mean hell, I missed all the hand held games, and they were cannon, so if I missed a non-cannon game, I wouldn't care smilie

And Activision's recent actions of removing evidence of Spyro's Kingdom is just plain dumb. Once we find something leaked on the internet, you can't stop it from spreading.

It must be the producers of the next game removing the evidence, or the staff at Activision.

Why would they cancel a game they canceled a MOVIE just to focus time on?

Doesn't make much sense - seeing that the movie would have probably brought in revenue.

So why cancel the movie?

To make the game.
