Wow you guys. He downright said he might get SF later, and he only mentioned Infinity in the OP a single time.
There are definitely better ways for him to right his argument but you guys don't seem to be Shakespeares, either. Want me to pick apart the insignificant parts of your argument? It doesn't feel good. He shouldn't insult other people and such but you guys really poking dead horses, points he clarified, PLUS he's offering ACTUAL CRITIQUE which is RARE on the Internet compared to mindless rants.
I think most of his criticisms are genuine...
1. The figures ARE overpriced, here we pay $14 for a single figure and they usually take about 2 hours to finish Quests, Heroics, upgrades and levelling (and that's if you're slow) , and then maybe if you feel motivated you'll play your favourites for a few more hours.
2. YES. Content is lopsided towards figures. And it's rather awkwardly, too: if you just buy the starter pack or only have a more few figures you'll barely have any characters, but if you aim to get a full collection or something, you don't really have that many chapters to explore before the game gets boring and you have tons of figures left over that aren't upgraded at all.
3. I don't mind this one much but it does irk me A LOT how there are hardly any hidden strategies or room to use strategy in 90% of the characters. That's why Sprocket is my favourite, you can really get a lot more power out of her if you use her strategically, and you're forced to use her different attacks for different situations. Camo? Easy, spam melon ring. Wham-Shell? Posiedon Stike. Eruptor? Lava Barf. Chop Chop? Shield Skewer. And Giants are practically invincible unless you're on Hard or Nightmare(and those modes both have poor balance anyway). I'm not just talking about spammable attacks here, but attacks that make the others useless, in comparison or not, and require no strategy. Also, a lot of characters feel like they play similar or have similar purposes and builds, like Zap and Flameslinger(both dash-focused), Camo and Eruptor(both close-range and round-spread), Terrafin and Ghost Roaster(both go invincible, then come up and attack enemies)... The only time I feel every character (okay, most of them) plays uniquely is Battle Mode- which like the OP said isn't fantastic anyway and needs much more fleshing out than it has now.
4. See above. This paragraph is spot-on, even Nightmare is a joke, all they did was raise the damage and HP to ridiculous levels, making the game boringly slow rather than actually difficult and requiring proper strategy. I'm not complaining because I can't beat it or anything either, I've already finished it several times on three consoles(Wii, Wii U and 360). The AI in this game is not intelligent- Skylanders' RS, aka Real Stupidity.

5. Yep. And to everyone saying online would be filled with trolls... That doesn't mean that they can't take measures to rat them out (like taking them out of the match if they take their Skylander off and it stays off or they keep taking it off) , plus we don't really need voicechat for this anyway. Speaking of which, we seriously do need a CPU mode. The experience of playing with someone else is unique, but I can't battle my dad all the time(plus, it gets boring only having about three other people to play with and only a few arenas)... Ambushes were the best part of Giants IMO - I hope Survival can fill this missed oppurtunity's niche
6. Completely agreed, I don't think anyone can argue with this, the only worthwhile ones are the Speed ones because otherwise your Skylanders just plod along and are soooooo slow. It took me ages to beat all the Heroics with every figure I have and it was not fun.
7. Everything here covered above. SF will have even less levels than Giants- old adventure packs don't work so we will only get 19 levels. That's not right when we have so many new figures. Yeah, you can set challenges for yourself, but you can do that with any game. They'd better offer more good content, and I don't mean longer levels or new game modes, I mean more gold, more experience, more levels that are actually fun and always feel fresh to replay(The Oracle is my favourite of all the levels for this), more reason to play again, come back...
You know what? I love the games anyway. And I'm planning to buy Swap Force. But these will be glaring issues to people, in some cases that stop them from buying the games- no opinion is absolute. If it is to LightSpyro don't frigging- to put it bluntly- nitpick his opinion, I've been stalking for some time and he always wrote things that way(no offense). And like I said, at least he's offering actual critique.

And lol Post #3, nobody has all the money in the world(except this guy). If I did I'd what I'd buy is every sucky game from E.T. to Big Rigs, every tiny variant and every new version of whatever I'm obsessed with, everything I've always wanted that I missed and just couldn't get, crud I don't want at all, but I don't, so I don't waste time earning money to buy things I don't want that I don't need in any way- I'm sure you're all the same. This is the real world.
