^ No, because the 3DS has improved graphics and 3D imagery, plus the game cartridges for the 3DS have an extended piece of plastic that prevents it from fitting into a DS game pack slot.

Game companies will make game consoles backwards compatible, but not forwards compatible. This is due to programming complications it would cause, and to encourage consumers to purchase newer ones to make a profit.

When I got my first 3DS Game, Skylanders Spyro's Adventure, I did not have the 3DS, and I tried it, and it didn't work. I was so mad, but now I can play it on my 3DS I have now. So anyways, what do you think their moves will be?

Seeing how both Stealth Elf and Eruptor are variants it is possible instead of calling them series 3 they might all be variants so that we have a reason to collect them. I say this because Stealth Elf's card says Ninja Stealth Elf.

Its possible, maybe they thought to keep going with the series system would get confusing or they are just special variants they are giving everyone. Who knows.
