Bought a WERDS new in package (found on the pegs in a Wal-Mart and package actually wasn't damaged), and also got Fling Kong, Flip Wreck and LC Bumble Blast from TRU.

I am new here, just joined after lurking around for about a month. Had originally bought Skylanders Spryo's Adventure for my kids when it originally came out, they collected some of the figures for a while and then had to have Giants the following Christmas, after that the Skylanders and portal sat in a tote untouched until about the middle of the past April, I asked both of the kids what they were doing with the and got the I don't know response, told them to get the tote out of the closet and give them to me, when they asked me why I said "I'll play with them." So now me and my wife are hooked on Skylanders and are playing and love this series. My Skylanders collection has grown in the past month and a half, I have purchased probably 40-50 Skylanders in that time period. Some of the deals I have grabbed in that month was Swap Force Starter Pack for Xbox One for $13.99 at Gamestop, grabbed many used Sklanders from Gamestop with the Buy 2 get one free they offered earlier this month. Grabbed Trap Team Starter last week for $25 after using my Powerup Rewards points too. This week grabbed the Dragons Peak Adventure Pack at Toys R Us for $5 and got Volcanic Lava Barf Eruptor for free at Best Buy today.

Went to Target to get the 3DS starter pack since it was on sale. When I got to the Skylanders section I couldn't believe it; I found a lonely . So if you're still looking for Echo don't give up hope, because it's still possible to find.

Won an auction on eBay for the Riot Shield Shredder trap, a Kaos trap and a Legendary Bushwack, all NIB for $43. Sold the Legendary Bushwack to a co-worker for $17. Now, just have to unload the Kaos trap on someone, bringing my price for the RSS to $20-ish. yay!

A small triumph for me - I found Polar Whirlwind used at Gamestop for $15. She happily resides in my collection now!

Got my Enigma today! First trap master after a while.

Also got another trap 3-pack. Magic Rocket, Fire Captain's Hat, and Tech Hand. Two of these traps I need, the magic one isn't required but I couldn't find Tech nor Fire traps. Also it's been a while since I was trap team shopping.

As for the starter pack, still holding off buying it. I totally missed out on an opportunity to get the pack for $50 CAD at EB Games' Game Days. I'll wait until it's on sale again in another store, but if I'm really desperate, I'll just buy it at full price. Actually Amazon has a good deal on it.

Got Enigma and an Air trap

Just found a Gold/Silver stink bomb at Fred Myers in Washington. Only thing wrong was the plastic was stapled to the backing. This is the 2nd chase variant I've found in store with ruined packaging, the first being a purple eye brawl with the backing completely separated from the packaging.

Yeah, the packaging is starting to suck, not only with Skylanders but Disney Infinity as well. I was in an EB Games when a Baymax almost fell off the bristol board of the packaging on the top half because of its weight. I was there in line to see that brief moment! They need to reinforce them better.

Got Gnarly Barkley today. My TRU had two cases of him but I had to ask them to get him from the back.

I am such a happy boy!!!



First time finding a chase variant in the wild!

It makes me wonder.. how many of these chase variants are just sitting in warehouses, and not en route to any stores?

Yeah and on top of that...only 3 chases for trap team...and they all were not that rare compared to others...will we see any for the next game?....I hope they make some chase vehicles 8-D

I wouldn't be a bit suprised if theres a lot sitting in box's in warehouses all over the place.

Here in Canada, I missed my chance to get the TT starter pack for $50 CAD ($40 USD) at EB Games' Game Days more than a week ago. But TRU is doing the same thing with their starter packs now, so I have a second chance.

I got the starter pack from TRU finally, along with four more traps of various elements. I now have enough traps to get all the magic villains, but I don't aim for all trapped villains, just one for each element at the least.

As for the game and unboxing, I'm not going to do neither until I have everything I want for a pure blind experience with all trap masters and everything for 100%. I still have all my TT packs in their boxes and will unbox all of it when the time comes. Still need four trap masters, earth trap, both adventure packs, and a mini (I found plenty of Power Punch Pet Vac at TRU, hope they're still there, or I can go for Gnarly Barkey if available)

Non starter pack traps I got were the Water Log Holder, and the same magic rocket, fire captain hat, and tech hand I got last week. Didn't find much of a variety and avoided getting another Kaos trap in several 3-packs. (Shame that some had an earth trap in them)

Splurged on these, favorites of each, just need tech...

Got Star Strike the other day for $4. Not the best condition, but, oh well.

Found and purchased Gnarly Barkley. Just need the Yawn traps, Steampunk Shrednaught and King Cobra Cadabra to finish TT.

I was so glad to find several more used green bases at my EB Games this week, after more than a month without updates. I got almost all of them:

- Hex
- Double Trouble
- Whirlwind
- Trigger Happy
- Gill Grunt
- Stealth Elf

My green base collection nearly doubled. I have 13 of them now.

I hope this post isn't too out of place as my experience today is what I took out of the trash rather than "I Just Bought." LOL!

I don't dumpster dive that often as I'm rather shy about it so this is actually my first major score! What happened is that I was driving by and the dumpster was overflowing with game cases. Really, they were just about falling out of bin! I actually pulled my van up to the dumpster and take them without getting out. Drive thru dumpster diving!

Of course a car was coming as it's a busy little alley, so I drove around the plaza and went back. I turned around a bag and saw a familar Skylander element logo! I hurriedly tore it open and found a round storage case! Then behind that was a Star Strike inside of it's bubble (no card) and then pop-up storage case. Of course another car came by and I had to go away.

So I parked the van and walked back with one of my cloth shopping bags hoping to score more Skylander swag! I tore open another bag and found hintbook after hintbook. Then I found t-shirts! Bag after bag scored more books, more cases, even a pair of infinity figures! Amazingly no cars came by while I was on foot and I was poking around for some 15 minutes.

It seems that the store recently tore up it's carpet as it was at the bottom and all of the normal trash was piled up on top. So I couldn't go too far in the dumpster to look as it was just all old carpet below the top layer of bagged trash. Normally their trash isn't overflowing like that.

Actually, I go by there probably 2 times a week to get to Walmart but I was never certain which bin was theirs until today. Now I'm tempted check it out everytime if they normally toss away good stuff like this! I checked all the bins along the way, but those were normal trashy trash instead of treasures! One had a few hundred clothes hangers but I have no use for that.

Seriously it's pretty horrible that a store does this. I know the reasons for this but still there should be some way to donate them to a local charity like what Target does with our local Goodwill as this stuff is just go to a landfill. A horrible waste! And poor Star Strike deserves a better fate than that! Actually any toy deserves better. What's sad is that I remember her being on the shelf rather recently too. Glad I was able to save her!

Anyway, I actually got a few things that I actually wanted, like a Lego Batman 3 guide, my first Infinity figures (not sure if they are broken or what), some replacement cases (the Tinkerbell one I recently got a loose one from a garage sale and it turned out to be a better than expected game, one worth having a case to) and so on. The rest is going to be ebay fodder for whatever I can get for it where price doesn't matter to me as it's all free stock. LOL! It would have been one hell of a day if they actually toss out games in the cases. Still it's good as I often get busted up cases and I get so OCD having a wrong colour case for 360s or the wrong shape for a PS3 game.

It amazes me that companies would throw these things away rather than giving them out as freebies and thus promoting their store in a positive light.

I've just bought Fling kong and Flip wreck yesterday. just needed Batspin, Blackout, Echo and the wind minis to complete my trap team collection.

Found these at a gararge sale today. As you can see by the orange sign, $1 small, $2 large. I got the Polar Whirlwind (soooo pretty), Heavy Duty Sprocket, Super Gulp Pop-Fizz, Sidekicks Gill Runt (not Trap Team and he had a 50 cents sticker on him) and a Legendary Trigger Happy which I may or may not already have...I really should make a list of ones I need.

The rest I already own other than Scorp who was a little too roughed up for me to have in my collection. I drove by about two hours later and someone bought the rest of the figures. That's probably why I don't see many Skylanders at garage sales as they sell fast at these cheap prices. But I honestly expect to see loads of them next year as 3 years is an average toy life and when they start hitting garage sales in large amounts.

To the left is a box of free stuff and right on top there which you can see in the image was a box of random Bratz clothing. I took it and to Ebay that will go! LOL I love flipping free stuff.

My Gamestop had the three new Dark Skylanders! I won't have the cards but I'm fine with that. I never even thought to look for Polar Whirlwind or Volcanic Vault...

Saw my EB Games fill up on new used figures. Wow, pretty fast compared to before. I got:

- S1 Stump Smash
- S1 Flameslinger
- S1 Drobot
- Swarm

All for $15. From April 2015 to today, I got half of the green base characters. Awesome. I feel the second half will be more tricky. I also want to get the bonus levels. As for Swarm, I have two of him now and I'm going to custom paint the spare. I don't get the paint until next week when I go to that faraway plaza with Michaels, so that's going to wait.

I've just come back from a cruise holiday. In Spain I treated myself to a Flip Wreck figure.
I wasn't going to bother buying any Mini Skylanders but I've recently decided to get the dragon ones. I got Bop & Drobit together for £12 on eBay, Spry in the double pack (I might sell Mini-Jini), and Breeze I have had to specially order on eBay because I don't know if/when she'll get a UK release.
Edit: Breeze came today. Mini dragon set complete.

Recently I saw a LOT of used orange bases at my EB Games. Then I had the idea of attempting to make a full orange base collection if I'm going to keep seeing these, I have a fetish for giants in SG, but now I'm going for all cores. I tried getting them all two years ago when SG was the latest game, but it was quite difficult. Now I can get most of these for $4 each, that includes giants. I'm pretty sure I found 80-90% of them there over the past few months.

I got Hot Dog and S2 Drobot to start me off, I'm satisfied with my purchase because I never got these orange bases back in the day.

To folllow up on my post #7475 above, I checked out the dumpster this week but I think someone already got to it as the bags were all torn open and nothing special other than a few empty 3DS and DS cases which I took. And a 2007 Bratz bonus DVD to what I'll probably never know. LOL

Then I took a look in the cardboard recycleables and found their weekly (or every other week) discarded poster displays and boxes. I got it home and found the Skylanders display stuff which I took an image of about two weeks ago and mentioned in another post on the forum here.



I was pretty happy about that as I do like posters and POP stuff. Also I was happy to get some Splatoon posters and a Nintendo Puzzle League whatever with Princess Peach and the rest of the Mario Crew on it. Got a ton of posters of junk like Batman, Witcher, yadda yadda. All stuff I will give away as I don't really care for those things. LOL

Honestly that's really sad about them chucking out he Skylanders stuff already as Skylanders Day is still a week away. They should be still be promoting it for another week...Oh well! Now it'll be Skylanders day in my video gaming Room Of Doom.

Bought a few traps ahead of Trap Team to go along with my fire Minis.

Took advantage of Gamestops "Buy 1 get 1 free" sale on the 6 remaining Elites I needed (already had Spyro & Chop Chop). Just need King Cobra, Steampunk trap, & the yawn traps to complete Trap Team collection. Will get those Saturday (my bday!)

My wallet will be happier for a few months!

I went to EB Games again today and got some awesome finds. I found an earth trap which is my missing element. Thank god they are getting in different traps now. I also got four more green bases. Bash, Sonic Boom, Zap, and my best find, Boomer!

Some one just unloaded their whole skylanders collection at my local Gamestop. I asked him if he had a Wildfire and he said, "Better I've got a Dark Wildfire." YESS!!! Got him for $15!!! This is the same Gamestop where I got Polar Whirlwind. The guy said they have so many skylanders they can't keep em in store.

Did some long overdue hunting today and got 3 of the 4 remaining figures I needed for Trap Team. Picked up Rocky Roll, Shroomboom and Legendary Bushwhack. Now I only need Jawbreaker (who I haven't seen in quite a while) to finish up. Well, I actually need Clear Tuff Luck and Clear Thunderbolt, but there's no way I'm paying crazy eBay prices and I doubt I'll get to open anymore Skylanders cases in stores (that's how I found my clear Short Cut at TRU). As for traps, I still need the light yawn, life yawn and I guess I'll have to buy doubles of a tech, dark and light trap so I have a trap for each villain. I haven't been able to find a light or dark trap in a long time!!

I also stopped at GameStop and changed my preorder for regular SC to the dark edition.

Went to Smyths. I was speaking to the guy behind the desk who I talk to if he's there. If he finds variants, he asks me if I have them. That day, they randomly got 8 Quick Draw Rattle Shakes. I asked how much it was, and I thought he said £7.99. I called my mum and asked her if she'd get it for me. She said yes as an early birthday present. He brought it from the back and it was only £4.99! Usually £30 on eBay so I was very happy. We chatted about Superchargers then my mum arrived and payed. A very good find.

I did some hunting yesterday while in another city for an appointment. Found Jawbreaker at Hastings! Now my TT collection is complete as far as figures go.

Stopped in the Target there and found something I thought was weird...

9 Gnarly Tree Rexes just sitting there... A box must have been found laying in a warehouse somewhere.
