IMO, he is an ugly troll ( he is ) and I just dislike him. He's not very strong and some people say he is "cute", well if you have a fetish for ugly trolls, i'm cool with that, but let's be honest. I mean, Sprocket desereved S3 more than him.

I've been more or less scratching my head about this as well. He sold horribly and warmed shelves in my area in obscene numbers after every other figure had already been sold (even the clear red Drill Sergeants). Maybe it's some sort of reverse Stockholm syndrome at work? Some people don't have him and aren't willing to pay the highway robbery rates that people want so they become convinced that he was awesome?

I agree 1000% with this. He is cool and now he is rare with no repose so the Skylander Ultra-Maniacs NEED him.

Boomer may be ugly and a troll, but I really enjoy playing as him. The best part about him is his desire the blow stuff up with dynamite and bombs.

I don't "love" him I just regret not buying him when I could and wish I had one more chance to buy him at a reasonable price. I want to play as every Skylander an he's the one have like no access to.

IMO if people would STOP paying those prices they might go down, and BECAUSE people pay those prices they are going up.

Boomer is not talked about much gameplay wise but everyone hypes his rarity (Same with Wham Shell and Ghost Roaster).

I consider it better because it's more fun, hardly takes any time to charge, and does 100 damage.
His Troll Bombs are also nerfed on Wii Giants.
He can only have 4 or 5 out at once, rather than the 6 it says.

People don't really like Boomer from what I've seen, so I find this topic ironic.

I use him when I go against a big boss and run circles around him while dropping bombs. Whoever says he is weak obviously has not upgraded him fully. He is a must have, even though he is quite ugly.

Tbh, when I bought the SSA starter, he was the first single I bought. Idk something about Boomer just makes me smile whenever I play as him

I blame Activision for not bringing Boomer back as well as other characters I like, such as Sunburn.

I have him to complete the collection, but I think he's terrible in-game.

Got an extra I need him but don't want to spend like 50 bucks on a skylander I got warnado camo and wham shell for less than that

Well I've been away from this forum for a good few months and then there where threads stating how everyone hates him lol xD. I actually really like the figure, not sure why but I think it looks pretty cool. I don't think he is really ugly looking, I mean he is a troll...they aren't supposed to look nice or pretty but I don't think he looks ghastly either. He def. has a personality to him through his looks and I can't understand why people would hate him xD

I was thinking maybe because he is crazy and ugly it makes everyone feel better about themselves being able to play as a character that would bring out the worst part of themselves and makes them feel good about their personal appearance and behavior just a thought!

I like Boomer, but not because of rarity or anything. I quite like the design. But I do find it funny that he was everywhere to start with and nobody wanted him, but now everybody wants him he can't be found.

Even though I love Boomer, he really isn't as popular as he is sought after.

I'm not a fan, but maybe because he's an underdog? I remember he didn't seem to sell too well when SSA came out; at least you could only ever find his toy left on the racks. Unless I misunderstood and he was so popular stores ordered a lot of him.

When SSA first came out he was not very popular due to the fact that he was everywhere, kinda like Swarm is to Giants. Through nutrition (TFB not making them and Newbies grabbing him on the eve of Giants). If you remember there was a time (Right before Giants) that SSA was bare in stores, if they had anything you can be sure they had boomer. Now that they dont make him anymore (or very few) and have more gamers he is now very hard to find or what some people call "Popular". Dont get me wrong he is one of my favorite to play and would reccommend getting him when/if you get the chance.

Because Boomer is adorable with a very interesting story. He's my second favorite tech.

So much people likes him. If you don't like Boomer, don't need to do a topic about it. Same thing if I do a topic about Drobot. I hate him really. I hate Hot dog and Stealth elf too. But it is my own thing. Boomer is a normal Skylander. He is not really rare here, but he is still rare. We have only one troll and he is adorable.
