The two are clashing a lot for the third place on the Most Viewed Guidebook Pages. So which one do you prefer and why?
I prefer Sunburn because I think phoneixs are cool and I think he is just an awesome character, as well as Whirlwind, but I prefer Sunburn by .000001%

I choose Whirlwind.
I love her attacks and upgraded rainbow attacks. She's also pretty fast. Her gameplay's fun. I actually played with her (yeah yeah, in before "DATS WAT SHE SAID LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL").

Sunburn looks pretty cool, too, his gameplay looks quite fun. I just prefer Whirlwind.

the other has a Kaos minion clone
Rainbows can heal others with soul gem
Phoenix can teleport

Whirlwind hands down.

Sunburn? Haven't played with him yet. And I just think he doesn't look like the best character gameplay-wise (in fact, he's my least favorite of the fire element (unpopular opinion for the win, eh?)).

They are both great.

I love them both. But I have to say I like Whirlwind a little bit more.

When I get to play Sunburn, I can make a more educated guess on this. I am not massively attached to Whirlwind, but then I feel I chose the wrong path for her. Once I fully upgrade all of my Skylanders, I will go back to change the paths for some of the ones I'm not so happy with.

I thought we'd stopped making VS. topics?

Anyway... Sunburn. He can teleport. And he looks like the fire birds from the Book Fire world.

Whirlwind's nice, but Sunburn is my favorite of the two. He looks like a pretty cool and useful character from what I've seen.

I like Whirlwind more than Sunburn. However since Sunburn hasn't been released yet I might change my mind when I buy him.

I suspect Sunburn will be faster and more flashy, but Whirlwind's electric grid of death is actually going to be pretty hard to top in story mode. We'll see about PVP, but I just can't decide this one based on the information we have.

He IS overrated. Do you see how many fans he has, when he isn't even out yet? Need more proof, look at the poll.

As this point its just a popularity contest on apperance. Sunburn isnt even out yet so a preference on play controls and move set isnt even a option. No one has actually played with the Sunburn character so the whole versus idea is laughable at best.

Um...There have been cross-overs before. Given the current powers that be running both basically being Warner Bros vs Disney now it'll never happen again but its been done.

What are you talking about? There have been comic book cross-over events in the past. The current people running Marvel and DC however would never agree to another cross over within the industry. The old Who Framed Roger Rabbit movie is a perfect example of the groups in the past being able to play nice for a limited time. Something that wouldnt happen currently.

I agree that it will not likely happen again but for precedent, please Google Amalgam comics.

I used the example I gave for a reason (but it was not resolved in that cross-over).

Nothing wrong at all with popularity contests, no matter how useless they are. It's not like it's a sign of stupidity for participating in one.

I prefer Whirlwind.
