I received this email today and the deal is worse than last time. Spend 30$ and get a skylander mini.

It's not really a Skylanders day, just a deal.

I am glad I got them free with a bag of chips when they cam out during Frito Promo. For me its to late to get them since I can't see buying $120 worth of SF to get the 4 because I am waiting on Wave 4 (Already have up to Wave 3).

They still go for $20 each on eBay, so free with $30 purchase is still good IMO.

true if your gamestop still has anything you need it could be worth it, but if they are like mine they most likely don't. I don't think buying doubles is worth the time. I got all mine but the first minis from frito lay. they were actually my first skylanders figures.

Isn't this the normal deal? I thought I remembered seeing that after the last Skylanders day, that they would be free with $20 purchase on that day and free with a $30 purchase after that day.

That's only if the store had any left over. I'm sure that with this promotion, they've restocked the stores.

Hopefully they restocked. It seemed like a pretty sad selection at the last Skylanders Day (though they had all 4 minis). There were no wave 3 figures at all. Maybe it's worth calling first, as the website doesn't give a lot of info on store stock.

They shouldn't call it skylander days anymore as it's just to get people in to buy stuff. Unless they actually have that many skylanders this time around I wouldn't be up for buying 30 bucks worth

This time around, it isn't called Skylanders Day. It's just a regular promotion for the weekend. Perhaps the OP should change the title of the thread.

I'd gladly have the promo happen over here - we only got three of the sidekicks from SSA, and two were a possible win with a bag of lollipops that never seemed to be in stock anywhee.

Am I the only one that gets a little twitch in the eye with "Minis". I mean the fans, Activsion and the game itself call them "Sidekicks". Where does "Minis" even come from? Gamestop wut r u doin

I know them as sidekicks as do a lot of un in the "in crowd". But to a lot of new players and parents they are minis. They made it a little easier on the people who pay for their kids skylanders to understand.

Did anyone find the Sidekicks? I went to two Game Stops, and 1 said they never got any in for the promotion, and the other looked at me as if they never heard of the promotion. When I brought up the add on my phone they said they never heard about it.

I was able to find them at one of my local GameStops. The first one I called didn't have them, tho.

My TRU still has a whole box full of them - Even though the promotion has ended

But yeah, I'm always gonna be a little miffed that they're still trying to flog off the unwanted Minis over there after numerous attempts, when loads of people in other countries are still crying out for them.

Wish they would allow you to buy these things individually. I have an interest in getting them but I get all my skylanders from other retailers so they never have anything I need unless they end up with an exclusive.

Well if you have $999.99 to shove in Gamestop's wallet, you can buy them individually.

There's also the option of buying from eBay for $20 each. Granted, it's more than most would like to pay, but they're not priced out of reach.

Well I don't know the history of the prices, as I barely got into Skylanders in late November. But I do remember them being $20 each in December. I needed a sidekick for Lost Islands, so I checked eBay.

I got them when they first came out just as something cool. Had a couple extra and they were 25-40. I also got into it around Christmas time this year. And man what a collection I have now

Yeah I heard they were put into the system at 999.99 which is ridiculous. What difference does it make whether I buy 20 worth of something to get it or am willing to give you 20 for it? And yes I understand this is a way to move merch but I feel my point still stands.

What I don't understand is why they call them "Mini"?
Up to this last Skylanders day they have always been called "SideKicks", during the Frito promotions (SSA and Giants) and even when Game Stop got the exclusive SSA Sidekicks last year they were called SideKicks.

On top of that, why are they asking for $30 purchase to get one SideKicks free. Last year when Polar WW came out you got one SideKicks free.

Maybe it's because they are mini giants

They were not called "Mini's" during the Frito Lay Promo. I just don't like the change.
