....I hope they don't do a love triangle...I honestly don't want to see that. Flynn can be amusing, but as a love interest? Bleh. If they bring back Cali, I hope it's for something actually worthwhile that makes her really shine.

If done right (like in a satirical way), a love triangle would be fun. Better yet, Flynn thinks there's a love triangle when there really isn't.
IDEA! A spin-off series of steamy romance novels and soap operas featuring Flynn, Hugo, Cali, Tessa-*shot and hurled into Hydragon's nest*

If it's all in Flynn's head, that would be awesome! Cali and Tessa would stare at him a moment, look at eachother and shrug. Then they'd go off with Hugo to get some lunch.

As for the romance novel/soap opera suggestion....*twitch* *violent shudder* I think I'm gonna be sick....*runs off*

The idea of adding a Flynn/Tessa/Cali love triangle to this series makes me sick.

Cali and Flynn would be a horrible couple. Flynn has, throughout the series, repeatedly frustrated Cali- and no matter how much she made it clear that she was annoyed, Flynn's character would still ignore her. It's just satire, of course, but if you look at it they really wouldn't be a very good couple. Consider this: when the Cloudbreak Volcano was about to explode, which would usher an age of darkness upon the universe, wipe out your efforts and leave many terrified and in suffering, Flynn didn't express any concern for his old friend Cali.

Oh, and Tessa and Flynn? Tessa and Flynn barely know eachother.

All "love at first sight" and InstaLove™ cliches need to die! A proper relationship comes with frustrations and problems and all kinds of issues and "true love" means SQUAT if the couple doesn't actually get along or try to talk one another through their issues and support each other. Writing in a couple for the sake of it, without using it to add to the story, would be lazy and detrimental and we don't need it.

Cali and Flynn haven't really been shown to bond like that much and their personalities don't match at all, and like I said, he's barely known Tessa at all. It'd be hard for them to pull it off right as satire given Flynn's Wannabe Casanova attitude, he'd just be happy about being smothered and then Retconning or ignoring that aspect of his character would be lazy. Also, it'd make Cali a Tsundere, which would be lame... Personally, I like her "smart but somewhat reclusive and hates stupidness" attitude now. On the flip side, having that happen to him, then having him realise all the drama and upset-ness going on with Cali and Tessa- realising being a Casanova with girls chasing after and smothering you may not actually be that cool- and becoming a little more mature would make his character more interesting and likeable.

Actually, I think it would be hilarious if Tessa and Cali hated eachother for some reason- they've basically got the same personality, you'd imagine them to get along instead! However, they don't need to put them in a love triangle with Flynn in order to write that in.

Actually, I think it would be more interesting to see Cali and Flynn become a couple... Then end up actually hating eachother, just ignoring any issues they should talk about and regret it. Now THAT, hehehe... Not because of the situation, but I could see plenty of great humor coming from it, and you don't often see that depiction of romance, not satirically.

The only couple I would like seeing is Cali and Hugo, they seem to get along very well and respect eachother and seem to have very similar interests. However, it's just NOT NEEDED. Would having this kind of romance really benefit Skylanders? Especially with some of the "main characters" yeesh.

What's the purpose of romance in a story? And would that add to Skylanders' story? I think romance should be used for a bit of drama and development between two characters, or just to conclude a story with a "happy ending", but I don't think Skylanders needs that kind of drama, they can write in that kind of character interaction in without putting everyone in a relationship and I don't see it ending for a while.

Actually, I'm just calling it now: Tessa/Hugo... Because that's the ship nobody is expecting. And it would give those characters a lame excuse of a "purpose" to be in the story. You heard it here first. Personally, I would like that only it were given a couple of games to properly develop. I think those characters could have a nice dynamic together. However, I still don't find any point in adding couples for the sake of it... That's just dumb.

That's WAY too much thought put into fictional characters and their relationships with one another.

I doubt we'll see Tessa or any of the new pcs in 4. Flynn was on vacation in another part of skylands. This made it real easy for TFB to develop the old characters as they see fit.

Lol I know, I was being sarcastic about the whole love triangle thing. I like satire though, so I'm fine with tropes as long as they're intentional mockeries of themselves. Anyway, overall I dislike romance in videogames (in a sim maybe, but unless RTS counts I never play simulations), I'm happy if they just keep it as is, with Flynn thinking he's a ladies' man.

Of course, there's always Spyro and Ninjini :P if they followed through with that I think we'd all get hospitalized with sickness, and then we couldn't spend as much money on figures, and we all know how the Beings of Avarice that dwell beneath the-I mean, Activision, fells about that, so they probably won't go there.

Lol. It's true that this is a fictional story, but I agree that Cali and Flynn should never be a couple! They really don't mesh, and Cali is wayyyyy to smart for that to ever really fly. Unless they're going for the "last male of the species" angle, which I highly doubt, it's not gonna happen.

And just to throw in my 2 cents: Love at first sight is an actual thing. It happens. I should know. We're very happy, even to this day btw. I know some won't believe me, and that's fine. No one has the exact same experiences, but some of the cliches are true. However, I can tell you definitively that you can't fall in love with two people at once!
