What do you guys do with the Cards and Stickers? [CLOSED]

I already mentioned what I do with the Cards and Stickers that come with each character but I was wondering what you guys do with them. I (along with many other Portal Masters) keep my cards in a flexible binder. I sort the cards by element (like I used to with my Pokemon cards haha) and I start with Magic and end with Air like on the posters. I further sort each element by game, newness of character, series, and if it's a lightcore or Giant. First is game, Swap Force goes first, then Giants, then Spyros Adventure. Then Newness of characters, Dunebug goes before series 3 Spyro. Then by series, so series 3 Cynder before series 2 Cynder. I don't know what I do for two different characters in the same element that have say series 2 for one of them and series 2 for the other lol. The biggest exception to my rules is shiny cards usually always go first, even if they're from Giants. I will not split up a set though to keep the lightcores together (like I wouldn't put the order LC Countdown, LC Whamshell, the Regular Countdown. I would do instead Whamshell, LC Countdown and Regular Countdown to keep the Countdowns together even though Countdown is newer than Whamshell. If two different characters are the same series, non lightcore, and same element like S3 Chop Chop and S3 Cynder, I just choose my favorite. The last rule is Skylander Giants, Giants (Ninjini, Thumpback) always go last...always...The Swappers have their own section which is also decided by element and another section for battle items, magic items, and adventure world things. I put the sheet with the stickers and code (if it's not on the poster) in the sleeve behind the card so it shows behind. In the back of the binder are the Disney Infinity Cards and in the back pocket the folded up poster (can't hang it until we find a place to stay). I wonder if anyone actually uses the sticker for something else. I started by keeping the cards in those deck boxes, but it overflowed very quickly. Well that's it got now, I'm pretty OCD with my collecting, it started with Pokemon when I was 8 in the 90s lol.

Here's how I sort mine. I have a little 2x2 page binder you find for Pokémon, so it is a little different. I first stick Polar Whirlwind and Jolly Bumble Blast in the front, with two extra slots for Kickoff and Springtime. Then I put the Cards in order, by Element. Air, Life, Undead, Earth, Fire, Water, Magic, then Tech. The SSA cores go to the left in each page. The Giants characters then go to the top two slots. The Swap Force Cores then go to the Bottom two slots. After I do that for every Element, I start with the Swap Force, in the same order listed above, with each element going in a column in each page. After ward, the Legendries get their own section(I only have the Giants and SSA legendries, and I don't have Legendary Chill.), going into columns in the same order listed above. Then I put in the Lightcores I own(Grim Creeper, Prism Break, and Jet-Vac), then finally, Jade Flaswing, Dark Spyro(S1), Punch Pop Fizz, Volcanic Eruptor, Enchanted Hoot Loop, and Nitro Magna Charge, in that order, going down. Finally, I put in the Adventure Pack Items in their respective Chapter order(EoI, PS, DC, DP, ToT, and SWI) down each column, with their items tucked behind them. For the finsher, I put in the Battle Items in the back page, in this order: Dragonfire Cannon(Golden tucked behind), Fiery Forge, Scorpion Striker, and Arkeyan Crossbow, going downward. The Reposes go over their previous counterparts.

From the wall of text, you would guess it is disorganized, but you're wrong smilie.

I was thinking of going the Pokemon card binder route but didn't know how I'd accomplish it, would it be too much to take some pics of it? Just don't show your codes lol, almost did that when I was selling a figure last year on eBay... Good thing someone told me but I'm pretty sure a bunch of people saw it by then haha! I keep em in a binder. For SSA it went 3 to a page because there was 3 items (card, sticker, code) but with Giants and Swap Force, I've grouped them 4 to a page (2 on each of the 3 rows, then another vertically). That way you can keep them by elements and what not.

If I had the money and room, I'd love to have them inside some sort of large poster-sized frame.

I buy Dragon Shield brand card sleeves (popular for Magic and the like) that match the color of the bases (orange for Giants, blue for Swap, green for S:SA). I place the cards and stickers in a sleeve together and currently I store them in deck boxes.

Each year so far I've looked forward to the back to school supplies hoping that I'd find some nice Skylander 3 ring binders to put all of these in pages finally. Spiral notebooks, folders, everything it seems but 3 ring binders end up getting made. I really need to find a place that'll take uploaded images and make me a custom Skylanders 3 ring binder.

I buy 5x6 photo album (One for each game). I insert the cards and stickers in side the sleeve with double sided tape so they do not move. I do not peel the stickers. Each sleeve holds a character. I do not sort them by elements like most of you. I sort them in the order I receive them. This helps determine what characters I get and when.

The cards go in a 3 ring binder with collector card pages, sorted by element. The Legendaries, Darks and Magic Items all get their own pages. My son likes to go through the cards, poring over the stats.

The stickers/codes go in a stack, bound with a rubber band, in my desk. That way *I* always know where the codes are if we need them.

When we first got Giants, I was putting the stickers on the poster that came with the game, so a bunch of orange base stickers are on it. I quickly realized that I would have to keep this ratty poster that didn't really have room for ALL of the figures... LAME.

We use ours like in the card game called "War" with a slight variation. Our random card picks will pit those Skylanders in a battle arena battle, so you can have a strong character vs a weak one depending on luck of the draw. If that one character wins 3 in a row then is is reserved for the final epic battle vs your opponents character that also won 3 in a row. We have over 160 characters so it takes a bit before our game is over.

You can't really. It is just one big binder, without a way to replace them. That is the only real bad part. The only way for this method to get more pages, is to just buy a new book. They tend to all have the same page number, so it would have to be a set of books.

I keep the cards and stickers (and, in the case of Adventure-series characters, the web codes) in organised piles in my top bedside drawer. For the non-variant cards, I sort them by game, then by element, then by gimmick (where applicable). Adventure-series goes first in elemental weakness order (Earth > Air > Fire > Water > Life > Undead > Magic > Tech), then smilie (once I collect him) and smilie, then locations and magic items in chapter order (Empire of Ice > Pirate Seas > Darklight Crypt > Dragon's Peak); after that is Giants-series, also in elemental weakness order and sorted by type of character (Giant > New character > Core 8 member > Series 2 repose), then smilie, then battle items in release order (Cannon > Catapult); then it's SWAP Force-series, in elemental weakness order and by character type (SWAP Force > New characters > Core 8 member), then smilie and smilie (once I collect him), then locations and magic items in chapter release order (Tower of Time > Sheep Wreck Island), then battle items (Cauldron > Ballista). As new games are released, those cards will be organised in a similar fashion. The stickers work the same but slightly in reverse (newest game to first game; elemental weakness order; normal characters then gimmick characters; followed by Core 8 variants; then items). Special characters have their own pile, organised by type (In-game variants > LightCore characters), then elemental weakness order.

This is basically my set up too, except in a brown shipping box. I kept the backs of the packages but trashed the plastic bubbles. The cardboard backs plus cards and stickers are tossed in one big box. I basically kept them for resale value, for when we eventually get tired of the game and decide to sell everything, we'll have more than plain loose figures to offer.

I love to see kids actually use them smilie That's what they were made for after all haha. Stickers were meant to be stuck, figures were meant to be torn out if the box and felt and played with. Even though I keep them strictly perfect, I like to see them used.
