Don't know if this has been posted yet. My 8 yr old figured out a way with his legendary night shift.. If you get the upgrade for his boxing gloves, whenever you hit a monster you get gold... This also works on the indestructible training dummies.. He grinder And had more than a 1000 in 5 minutes.

If you want to save yourself some time get the Sky Diamond in the Tower of Time pack. You can get 10,000 gold in about 2 mins.

I haven't done the money path for Night Shift. How much money does he give for hitting an enemy?

Sky Diamond + second controller + Drobot + training dummies = 15k+ in 60 seconds. I've gotten over 22k before

Tried it over the weekend. You can angle the lasers to hit two dummies (have the 2nd one grab the gold from the other dummy and attack it). 15k easy every time...up to 20k depending on 2nd character you are using.

Yeah you want to angle Drobot to hit two dummies and have the second character attacking at that dummy.

This is unreal. My wife and I did this with Drobot/Hex combo tonight. I have to say... WOW!

This may have been brought up before and I'm very "SORRY" if it has but why can't they just let you collect coins all together and just let us use them for who we wish? Take for instance you need a giant in SF to open some things so once it breaks you got to move him out of the way so he doesn't take any coin since they are most likely already upgraded fully and swap it out with someone you want to upgrade! Even when you fully upgrade someone instead of that particular one keep taking on coin it would seem more logical that the coin you collected be altogether saved somewhere else to be used for other ones that needed to be upgraded.

The reason the don't let you gather the money with any character you want and spend it on whomever you want is twofold:

1) The money is saved on the character so that you can use it on any game (including someone else's system or even a different iteration of the game) and the money will still be there for upgrades. If not, you could only upgrade your characters on a single game.

2) They want to encourage swapping out the characters. Dropping a giant on the portal, opening the chest, then putting the character you want to get the gold is part of the gameplay pattern.

Both very valid ideas in my opinion.

Drobot/Pop Thron is ridiculous. I think that was the 24k combo I had. Or maybe that was Drobot/Grilla Drilla. Both of those are just nasty...

Not much at all, only about 10-15 per uppercut, and the charge up is very slow.

sky diamond dummy cheat is MUCH faster.

Also the Prize Fighter path on Night shift is WORTHLESS (It doesn't boost your power only the amount of gold he drops from getting the first upgrade on his path. No point in picking it)

Why are you even worried about gold? Skylanders is like the easiest farm game ever. Play 4 bonus missions and you got enough gold to max out all skills from 0. The bigger question is, how do I spend all the gold I'm getting..?

A goal that I have seen others post is... they want to max their character with gold. Might be worth a try?
