Hi Guy's I was hoping for a bit of advice. I want to get all three stars for each score mode level. But want to do it quickly (Once this is done I get my first ever PS3 Platinum),
I am currently playing as Nitro Magna Shift. He is my favourite and his magnet helps pick up the out of reach "X1" multipliers.
I am playing on nighmare difficulty, this means it takes abit of time, however I am getting scores 5X of that needed.
I was wondering whats the best difficulty level to do these as quick as possible but still getting 3 stars.
I don't want to play on an easy level to have to do it again on a harder level.
Any advice for me guys?

I played on hard with no problems. I used blast zone because his firebombs and evasive moves are great and makes it easy to keep the max multiplier. At the later levels I could get over 200 000 more than was needed for 3 star rating. I used all elemental gates and climbing and rocket swap zones.

I know I went with Nightmare, as I wasn't too concerned about times.
A couple of tactics I used were to try and defeat enemies by knocking them off the map whenever possible, instead of having to spend oodles of time taking them out with just attacks. Slobbertooth is fantastic for this, given he can grab and spit mid-sized guys, but even Magna can pick them up and throttle them over the edge. Hit every destructible item to build up score, and the random chance to get a X1. Once you hit the cap of x30, you don't have to divert course to pick up any of the pre-set locations for X1 bonuses (chest/hat areas, etc). I think Hard would be a good option. The difficulty will allow for a lot score build up, and from what I noticed the jump from Normal to Hard isn't as steep as it is from Hard to Nightmare. I've never tested the theory, but the trick to make Bonus Missions and Time Attack missions a breeze may work to keep the point modifiers that are behind the scenes in Score Mode. Start the level as Nightmare, and once you are able to move, go to menu and change it to Easy. It may only affect the timed missions though, so test it out. You could even start the level on Nightmare, take out the first non-chompy enemy (something that takes more than 1 hit) and note the score you get. Reload the level on Nightmare, switch to Easy and then see if the same enemy gives you the same Nightmare amount of points. *shrug* If your concern is time, with a fully beefed up swapper, you should be able to get through even Nightmare reasonably fast, so it may end up being your best bet to ensure you get the 3 star score. |

I use "Blast Jet" on nightmare difficulty and just spam the jet boost attack in the enemies face. Fast and hits hard!
