So I am going through the levels on nightmare. I got to the bit in serpants peak where you get swallowed and face 3 fire gear gollums at once.
I took off my nearly dead Magna Shift and put on level 20 Lightcore Smolderdash, with one hit she was dead. Only had her on the portal for 10 seconds. Seem a bit wrong to me.

It is really hard not to get hit.

You have to not get hit to get the final star.

I did it with Spy Rise.

Uhm, I waited till the golems were near and ran past them to destroy the crystal. Their attacks are soooo slow!

You can kill almost all versions of gear golems relatively easily with stealth elf

Nightmare Mode is where Quests and Hats with high stats seem to come into play extremely.

Some of you know what I'm talking about.

I'm going to try it with Night Shift since I have the vortex upgrade that both does damage and slow them down long enough to get the crystals.

Trying to get the last star for no damage on nightmare mode on this chapter is quickly driving me insane. I have been sooooo close so many times now but keep getting clipped by things. I will get it soon but it's got me thinking what chance do I have on the tougher ones like Mesmeraldas?

Interesting choice. I'm using Terrafin in the first part, who is great because he takes no damage when underground. Got a nasty habit of popping up at the wrong times, but my last two attempts I got touched by the purple gas on the drop and my last attempt Drobot got stuck in a corner and got a bit burnt by the fire guys. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANNOYING. Particularly as I've never had trouble taking those guys down quickly with Drobot in the past, but the one time when I'm about to get my third star he goes and gets stuck!

Do it with Shroomboom!

Just spam lightcores! You get the lightcore blast! But, if you're talking about the golems that are on the last level inside of the final boss' (trying not to spoil it, even though I doubt someone hasn't finished the game.) mouth, then you can get off 2, maybe 3 lightcore blasts without getting hit.
