As the title says I'm wondering what my options are for minimum swappers needed to unlock all areas.

Specifically since I have a bunch of S:SA and some Giants figures already (plenty of each element) do I NEED one Swapper of each element AND movement type, or do I just need one swapper of each movement type.

I already have:

Blast Zone- Rocket
Wash Buckler - Ladder
Nitro Magna Charge - Speed
Rattle Shake - Spring

Do I have to make sure my other movement types also fill out the other 4 elements which would be:

Free Ranger - Spinner
Hoot Loop - Teleport
Stink Bomb - Stealth
Rubble Rouser - Dig

OR can I get my other 4 movement types without worrying about the other elements (since I have core figures of all elements and a second controller for combinations) such as:

Doom Stone - Spinner
Grilla Drilla - Dig
Trap Shadow- Stealth
Night Shift - Teleport

I ask because I only really want to buy 4 more swappers (in the near future) and am more interested in playing the bottom 4 swappers listed but don't want to lock myself out of content.

You could go with the second set, but I find it annoying that I have to switch to a corelander a dual gate, when I could easily (if I had a swapper of each element and zone) just switch halves or something like that. That probably didn't make any sense, but what I'm trying to say is go for the first set of four, then if you have anything left over, get any others you feel would be good. Namely Doom Stone and Spy Rise. Both of which are really good, one from seeing path guides, the other from looking at the meet the skylander video of his and his upgrades.

That made sense. Thank you for the information. It's just hard to know if the ones I think I will like are really interesting are going to be worth the inconvenience of not having a swapper of every element. Very good to know that it is possible though. Thanks.

You're welcome.you just want to be able to have one of each zone.

Just keep in mind that dual elemental gates will require two players if you want to use your current inventory if by some reason you don't buy at least one swapper from each elemental.

With NO elemental requirements I wonder what list you guys would make for the minimum swappers for the best in your opinion

I want to thank you so much for pointing this out. I feel so dumb. I am a long time Skylanders player and didn't know this.

Buy the minimum, and buy any extra favourites if you want to.Example,I already have Rattle Shake,but would quite like Fire Kraken.

You don't need a 2nd player, just controller. The same person can grab the 2nd controller, put on the other character needed, and then open it and remove the 2nd player's character and unjoin the game.

Adventure Packs count for unlocking all areas.

After I completed all of the seven out of eight Swap Zones, I knew at the moment that I needed Stink Bomb to go through Sneak Zones. But to my surprise, I actually completed the story mode by 100%.

Obviously, but this is a pain and I wanted to point that out. He may not even have a 2nd controller.
