So, as I'm playing through the game, I'm trying out a few select bonus missions. I'd love this to be the spot where we can discuss strategies for higher scores. I have a few of you guys on my friend list and I'm honestly not getting how you got these astronomic scores!!
I'll list 'em here shortly. Let's start with the Chompy Challenge...it seems the score gets higher the faster you finish (I thought you could make up for it with the "Trapped" aspects, but no dice)...but about the highest I can get is around 600k.

Personally I noticed that when I did a challenge like Angry Angry plants on Nightmare my score tripled from what I did it on medium. I think you get more points at higher difficulties.

That is because you do. Everything in the game, the higher the difficulty the higher the points or score or experience.

OK, that might explain the scoring aspect. I'm guessing my score is as high as I can go on Hard and the person above me has done it on Nightmare mode. It's absolutely stupid that the game doesn't differentiate the scores based on difficulty. Is a general strategy to all of these bonus timed missions is to get em done fast? I'm trying to understand where it might be better off killing enemies as opposed to getting the time bonus.

1. Don't get hit
2. I believe that treasure collected in bonus missions is increased by your gold multiplier. If so then a higher multiplier means more points 3. And as everyone has said, play on Nightmare |

Yep, would an overall strategy also be quick completion since there's a time bonus? Or is there an alternate strategy to keep pounding on enemies instead of completing quickly?

I've found that I've gotten better scores trying to get the best time. My secret is Nitro Magna Shift. Toss enemies over the edge of existence and teleport like crazy. I just got a number of new high scores today doing that. Plus his magnet attack will suck in money and experience when activated.

Yeah, I still have upgrades to buy and I need to familiarize myself with the skylanders a bit before I get to that level...concentrating on basic overall strategies at first...
