I would highly recommend the Nitro Magna Charge/Free Ranger (Target Exclusive) double pack if you ever get the money. Awesome variant and has both characters you want.

If not, get Magna Charge. He has a good ranged attack, a novelty movethat picks up items and enemies to throw around, and his bottom part lts you drag enemies around and to shoot them at other enemies and walls. You can pick up enemies when they are in defensive mode! Really OP character.

I don't have Free Ranger yet, but I do. I heard from many people to go with Magna Charge first.

(I got the NMC/Rattle Shake double pack. Searching for Free Ranger. If I don't find him, I am entirely willing to buy the 3DS starter pack just for him. smilie)

EDIT: Just realised this was a question for me, and not for you to choose which one to buy. smilie. Still going to keep the info up incase anyone wants purchasing information.

Magna Charge.

He's able to pick up enemies that aren't regularly attackable at certain times and than toss them at other enemies. You also got a gun that does 14-20 or so damage at a fast rate.
