I did the same transitioning from Wii. TOTALLY worth it! The updated graphics on PS4 (and XB1 in all fairness) in incredible. I've seen the PS3 version. It's good, but I think you'll be impressed with your PS4 over what the PS3 offers. See you on PSN.

Wont be playing till Christmas morning though. Oh the pain of being a parent and having to wait till Christmas to play our shiny new ps4 and Skylanders.

It's unfortunate the PS3 players (and their progress) don't show up in the PS4 version.

I wish they would do a PS4& XboxOne HD rerelease of both Spryos adventure and Giants on one disk with all current characters playable.

My son still plays spyro and giants. And once we get the PS4, we'd only be keeping the 360 for giants and SA.
And allowing all current characters would give us more to do with all these characters that only have so much content to utilize them all in.

It could happen one day, id think more so a port over then a redo of the game but i dont see it happening for awhile. Maybe after skylanders 4 is out they will do some triple pack of something.

Playing on Ps3 version right now. Had a shot at a cheap dark edition, so I took the plunge and we switched from wii to Ps3 for now (and oh my gosh, thank goodness we did switch)!

Planning on PS4 for my birthday, albeit a week or two afterwards (tax season is one the the better times to have a birthday ). It would be ideal if the PS3 portal worked on the PS4, but haven't seen that confirmed as of yet (maybe I am missing it buried in the forums). Then I would just have to get a disk, possibly from Activision.

In any event, my PSN is "Rooksarii". Playing on PS3 right now, but I'd say in about a month I'll be on PS4.

I used to be ps3.. but upgraded to the PS4 version! It plays like a pixar movie its so gorgeous! Anyways, just finnished hard. Will be starting nightmare levels tonight!

not true, SSA is out on Wii U (but only in japan)

Not looking for a free disk, but the possibly to pay the $20 they charge for a replacement disk past 90 days of purchase or there about. *shrug* If they say no they say no. Heck, even PS3 is a gigantic improvement over the Wii version.
