Due to its gameplay content and replay value with all of its minigames and various playable characters, I must say that YotD is my favourite Spyro game up to date.

I might give you more opinions... for a small fee of course.

See, now I want to say Skylanders just to be contradictory. :D But it's a tie between Spyro 1 and Spyro 2 for me.

A Hero's Tail. The game was a lot more humorous than the previous games(watches all the 4th wall jokes). Not too mention how Spyro mocks the Gnasty, Ineptune, and Red during the boss fights.

Either Gateway to Glimmer or A Hero's Tail out of the console games and Attack of the Rhynocs or Shadow Legacy out of the handhelds.

I like the original PS1 Spyro trilogy. My favourite game out of the three is Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer.

I'll go with Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. I enjoyed all 3 of its homeworlds immensely. They felt more fleshed out than the original game's homeworlds, while at the same time more interesting to explore than Year of the Dragon's. I like YotD and all, but the homeworlds felt really SQUISHED together and rather bland as far as exploration is concerned. I think it had some of the most fun aesthetics too. Yes, I'll admit YotD had more diverse aesthetics, but I'm a sucker for tech-filled, futuristic levels and Avalar has quite a few. Also, I found the levels large enough to satisfy my exploration needs, but not so spacious that missing a few gems would lead to great frustration. I also enjoyed most of the minigames put into Ripto's Rage, and there were no clunky side-characters. Again, I like YotD, but I find some of the minigame controls clunky and out of the playable characters, I only enjoy Sheila's levels and controls. <.<

I like every spyro game, but I think I would choose A hero's tail, I guess it is because it mixes the things from the original trilogy but also has a touch of the more modern games to it.

This is to hard for me......... Because the first five games are so awesome.

1: Year of the Dragon
2: A Hero's Tail
3: Gateway to Glimmer/Ripto's Rage
4: Spyro the Dragon
5: Enter the Dragonfly

Er.... They are all tied for first but I like each one just a few centimeters more.

Year Of The Dragon, by a mile. If you watched my Youtube you'd know my love for them all, but mainly YOTD! That was so challenging and slightly harder than the rest and it drew me in to the franchise. Up in Second was Spyro 2. Tbh, the first Spyro was a bit repetitive and didnt give me the same enjoyment, still good though smilie
