I made a similar topic in Giants forum, but basically just wondering. When you start a new game altogether, be it giants or swap force, do you reset your older characters to level them up from scratch? or do you start the new game with already leveled up characters? it seems like it would be a bit too easy if you started the game with leveled up characters. Any advice? thanks

I keep my characters where they're at. I only use the new characters for each game. The older ones only get used to fully level them up. I prefer using the new guys for the story mode because it gives me a reason to play as them instead of my old favourites

I reset all of mine when I started Swap Force. I was originally going to keep my leveled up characters powered up, but when I started playing with the new guys it made the stronger ones too overpowered, so I reset everyone to give them equal ground.

I'm only using new blue guys on the game on first playthrough, on Hard mode...for my first experience.
Subsequently, I'll use my secondary guys to do what needs to be done in Swap Force...so I've effectively side-stepped the problem you are noting. I need not need to experience ALL FIGURES ground up in Swap Force. There's way too much time invested in leveling up and doing heroics to do that. However, if I had not done Heroics I probably would reset as you indicate.

If you have done Heroics on the previous games, definately do not reset your characters.
I have found through testing that you do absolutely get bonus stats from doing the Heroics. Its not a major boost mind you. But like Ghostroaster said you put in all that work, it would be a shame to loose it. You will find Swapforce challenging regardless since all characters were nerfed across the board. Especially when you get into Nightmare mode. |

If a character gets a new figure that I want, I stop using their previous figures and focus on their new ones. Otherwise, I never reset them. That way it gives me more time to level up and upgrade any new characters.

120 characters x 3 hours = 360 hours...quite a lot of time indeed. I have to start drinking to do these heroics with the reposes this time... lol

^ This. I don't have the time or the patience to reset everyone back to start for each game. Between work, a personal life, and other games its just not realistic. |

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'm going to keep mine leveled up and play on hard mode, trying to use mostly new characters.
