I found him to be a formidible character, ESPECIALLY in PVP. That parachuting mushrooms attack is quick and homes in on the opponent. All shroomy has to do is run around and watch a swarm of mushrooms just pulverise the opponent. They cannot escape. Thats why life element is my 2nd fav element. The lineup of strong to just OP characters is remarkable. It would be my fav but the Magic dudes when because of three: Spyro , Double Trouble and POP FIZZ, MORE POP FIZZ AND EVEN MORE POP FIZZ!

Shroomboom seems to have a potential that is kind of on par with Terrafins ability to not take damage but it seems shorter. --- Elite Skystones Set Complete.

Everyone differs in play-style, meaning someone might be better with as Example Stealth Elf or Camo. What makes your shroomboom so strong is because there's a person playing with him who's strong. I for example just can't go with him, in fact, not at all.
Still he's Yolo to play with and all, but say for yourself, does his damage do much?

I don't get why everyone is so Hatey McHaterson on poor Shroomy either. Sure he isn't an unstoppable force, but he is a great art design and works great in 2 player. He is one of the better lightcores too. Sometimes I think people just don't like the one that look tough, but there is a large enough variety of playable characters in this game that they can have some fun ones.

When I get a charcter powered up to the point where they steamroll in the game I tend to switch to a new one. Challenge is nice.

His damage numbers are actually pretty impressive, it's just getting those attacks to connect when he has terrible aim and a ridiculously slow running speed.

I also don't like his design.

One thing for me is his moves that you get at the beginning do suck. But his 3rd power he unlocks is OP. Especially on paramushroom promotion. All I do is run and hold the 3rd attack button. That is what makes him OP for me.

But that is just me.
