I want to get a lot of money without buying the Sky Diamond. What can I do?

Bonus Missions. You usually earn at least 1000 for a decent run... At low levels, the amount goes up as you're at higher levels. At level 20 you can get around 4100 per run. If you have the 3DS game and level characters on that, you can level them first, then get their gold with this method extremely quickly.

Battle mode is an option if you have two controllers, but I haven't tested it much for gold getting to comment on how effective it might be.

I hear good things about Rival Survival (with a dummy second player?) but I haven't touched the mode yet so I can't say a lick about it.

I have a fun way to earn money, but you need to have at least Chapter 11 beaten.

First, go into the place where the chieftess is and to the left, there is an elemental chest, and to the right there is a lock puzzle. Use the right element and open the chest for about 200 or so, then, open the Spark lock with ALL 3 BOLTS to earn about 500.

After you go to Winter Keep, you can get a present close to where Sharpfin is. After you collect it and open the present again, you get a diamond worth 53 gold.

Climb up the mushrooms close to Eon and nab Hoot Loop's Soul Gem, but once you grab it once, go there again for another diamond.

Once you get to the top, there is a winged sapphire, of course, once you get it once, you get another diamond. Jump off the epic jump pad into the pool and collect as many coins there as you can. I normally get about 1000-1500 from there.

But I'm not done yet, once you get out, go to the left. Go down into the Under Hollow by entering close to Marshall Wheellock. Collect the Story scroll if you haven't (it gives you a bit of exp!) But if you have, another diamond will wait for you there. Then open the gates with appropriate elements and get Smoulderdash's Soul Gem if you haven't (more exp) Along with some coins (again another diamond if you have gotten it already). Then you can fish for another diamond (if you're that into fishing, I'm not so much.)

After you're done in the Under Hollow, walk back out and around to the yard. If the skylander you have can attack quickly, nail on all of the Training Dummies as without the Sky Diamond, they still give you some coins. If you're skylander isn't as fast, you can try to continuously bounce on the mushrooms to get some coins that way too.

Don't forget that from 3-7 in your time zone you can go to an island of the side of the yard, there is a Story Scroll and a chest, the chest resets whenever you go to that island again, but the scroll changes into another diamond worth 53 gold.

There is also the Turret above Tibbet that gives roughly 100 coins or so.


After all of that, you can get about 10000 coins on one run through everything (don't trust my 10000, it could be less). Then to do it again, I like to play a level and collect all of the gold, once you go back to Woodburrow, everything resets! Rinse and repeat to your pleasure.

I've found that for swappers (I only have 2 right now) if you have ______ Buckler down the Tentacoolest path with the tentacles attacking quickly, you can get about 50 coins from each dummy (This also works with Buckler's Soul Gem, just a bit slower)

^Not all of us, like me, have 2 controllers to be able to do that. But then again, I don't know anything about PokeLink

That's actually the best and cheapest way I've heard to do this, assuming you have another controller. I also like you don't have to mess with the portal with putting items on and off, etc.

Do some Arena Challenges at Nightmare. It will also help you level up.
