The wait is finally about to pay off as the Xbox One is released this Friday and I was able to get Swap Force for Xbox One today from Target. I can't wait to start the new adventure.

I can't wait to hear the bugs that are in it.

Well, pretty much retail software has bugs in it. Just the Wii users have had far worse experiences.

At least with the other consoles they'll be able to release patches to them.

I assume PS4 and XBone will have issues since the systems are so new they haven't had the time to find all the gotchas.

I traded in my full Xbox 360 (small) collection on Sunday for the 90% bonus credit towards a next gen console. Don't know if I'll get SF since I have the Wii U version already, but we'll see how the reviews are.

Nope wii, wii U, and PS4 have bugs (but the PS4 bugs are problems with the system update and will be fixed by sony later).

I'm ok with the occasional glitch that happens under unforseen conditions...given software complexity these days it's a given. I'm talking about the VERY OBVIOUS stuff that's been reported here...the portal master stars issue is cross platform from what I've seen. Occasional freezes haven't been isolated on the Wii either--although I suspect some of these earlier problems will be OS based due to the platform being new and both platforms removing their digital rights software from the mix.

Funny Thing: Activision blames the Xbox One for partially being a reason why SWAP Force is selling worse than the previous games (I'm sure you GhostRoaster already know, but some others may not). People have been anticipated for it and preordering it for $500, which sure as hell ain't cheap. Not everyone wants to buy SWAP Force along with it for another $75, plus buying additional figures will quickly cost $600 if you buy more and more.

I don't think many people will buy SF on Xbox One for now, but in the future it may slowly increase (if Pokémon XY, Disney Infinity, and the PS4 don't get in the way).

So the only thing you are looking forward to with the franchise are... bugs? You must really enjoy this franchise...

I look forward to quality software...sorry if you like to play a game that you can't complete because of achievement removal or game freezes.

I finished the game, had 0 freezes, added a lot of toys in my Collection, never got the issue with losing Stars... you guys need to stop focusing so much on these issues, most people don't have them.

Ummm...I don't go crying like a baby sending PMs communicating that posts are annoying you...but since you want to bring this out in the open...have fun talking to yourself. Maybe you can take your own advice and stop focussing on people you don't agree with. There's enough room for a diversity of opinions, or should everyone just think like you?

We don't need lessons on how expensive this game can be...spare us (respectfully).

However in my mind Hirshberg's comments about sales being low because of "platform non commitment" is kinda funny, considering Wii's sales historically has contributed to the lion's share of a given title's sales. Is he saying that the majority of sales of Swap Force is now coming from the PS3/Xbox editions (or rather not, since people are waiting for the next gen systems)? Confusing at best unless he's saying in not-so-many words that folks AREN'T buying Wii AND they aren't buying next gen either. He can't ignore the nasty treatment they gave that console--irrespective of the limitations of the hardware.

I think Swap Force sales will do fine, but they've reset expectations due to sharing the limelight with Infinity. I personally think they've stuck rigidly to some things that are helping to erode some of their market share, but I'll reserve judgement until some actual numbers come in.

I'll tone it down with my evangelizing death march on the bugs on this release, but I hope they understand that this type of stuff (very intrusive bugs that we've noted, not small stuff), if it can't be eliminated, needs a corrective action plan. I won't buy anymore from this franchise moving forward without it.

Also, as an aside--I visited a number of places today and didn't see one Swap Force XBO Starter Pack.

But people having a good time are never the loud ones, you'll probably never hear about them. While people raging... well they seem to enjoy raging and are often more focused on raging than on trying to solve the problem and help.

So I would like to see how many people have these issues against how many people don't. It might be 1% maybe less, but since they rage in a really loud way and spread it on each board they can, it seems bigger than it really is.

All games have bugs, but it would appear that the worst of the game is definitely the Wii version.

I'm glad you understand my position, it's annoying seeing people constantly mentionning the bugs and how the game was poorly developped while I really enjoy it.

So are these bugs for PS4 in both the 1.50 and 1.51 update or just from a specific one?

I lost a few stars (i think it's 9) but thats ok, we don't need all of them to hit lvl 80 anyway

Isn't it usually the vocal minority that shapes the policy for the silent majority? I hope so, because they should care more about product quality than this.
