I was just enjoying Swap Force on the PS4 when a sad thing happened. I finished level 3 and the level's achievement screen with the 3 stars was showing when suddenly an error message flashed, the game crashed, and when I reloaded the game...my save file is corrupted. No power loss, nobody bumped the system, nothing. Is this a coincidental fluke or what?

I'm very embarrassed for Activision. Wowzers.

I am VERY interested in how many other SF PS4 owners come forward with this.

I'm pretty sure this is because the system is not strong enough to handle the graphics...oh wait...this was the excuse for bugs on the Wii...nevermind.

Hard to tell, we need to see if this happens to other people. Could be a problem with the PS4 itself, not the game.

Cannot say anything about SwapForce on PS4 but Diablo III on PS3 had similar problem at release this September. Saved games get corrupted in patch 1.01. It took a few weeks to release patch 1.02 which fixed the problem and restored corrupted saved game files - they got playable again (kinda sucks to lost all fully leveled characters on the account with tons of found end-game items after spending ~100 hours).
Publisher was the same - Activision. Developer was different - Blizzard. Have no idea how good are VV in fixing their bugs and asking publisher to release patches.

On PS3 for other title - Brutal Legend (by the way awesome game from Tim Schafer and Double Fine Productions) - new patch to fix broken sound introduced by patch 1.02 was never released by EA.

So you never now.

if this is a bug and activision cant be bothered to finish a 3000 dollar game properly.... im done... and.. no patching it later is not good enough. the game on the disc is still broken. there is no excuses for a 3000 dollar game, period.

Buy every figure/variant (both in game and treasure hunt) and that sounds very reasonable actually. He may also be including existing purchases.

Problem with new consoles .... is that they are new. Not enough time has gone by for the gotchas/issues to become well known, so devs have to just follow the specs and hope it all goes well. At least next gen consoles have the ability for patches.

I assume most release games will have some issues.

But, still sucks for us.

My game is fine on the PS4. That crash happened to me on Battlefield though and apparently it has to do with the update 1.50 or something. Hopefully they'll fix it soon, but these things are going to happen at a console's launch.

You guys are right. I'm glad to know it's not happening to everyone playing Swap Force PS4.

And to GhostRoaster, tobby was mouthing off as though all players have to pay that much, which is crazy. It's not "a 3000 dollar game" at all.

Well, the pricetag will vary from person to person. I know I've probably spent $2k or more just on treasure hunts...but to your point that shouldn't freak out the more conservative collectors/buyers where sub $1k for everything is typically the norm.

I have a PS4 and have been doing some research and this is a common glitch for any PS4 game right now (not just skylanders) it should be fixed later but is not activisions falt (this time that is...) it is a problem with the PS4 itself and should be fixed by sony soon.

You just google PS4 crashing. It's seems to be a common problem at the moment on a bunch of games.

update 1.51 is out now... so is it fixed?
