I highly doubt we'll be getting him anytime soon, if at all.

I know it sucks big time we don't get what the Americans get but I buy the american ones so I have them them. I even bought the Halloween fright rider and pumpkin eye brawl.

Just wish we would be able to get them and not pay big money for them.

True, they could at least make a limited availibility sale at Toys 'R' us or Gamestop or whatever so we don't have to pay ridiculous ebay prices.

Yeah toys r us or game. But no we have to spend so so much to get special ones that America and or countries get.

Quickdraw Rattle Shake we'll get for sure. He is only time-exclusive and he is an ingame variant. I know, Royal Double Trouble was an ingame variant too, but this time it's different. And I guess we'll get the Giant sidekicks too, but no Halloween Fright Rider (as we didn't get green flocked S1 Stump Smash).

Yes I got royal double trouble and he is a old favourite. I bought Halloween fright rider and all side kicks from America and the sidekicks come today!!! Halloween fright rider comes in December but I know the guy selling so I know he has won it. I bought pumpkin eye brawl from a guy in the UK who got it from America. We did a deal and I only paid £29 for him.

Do you know which store will be getting QuickDraw rattle shake? My son would love him

well I remember when gitd fright rider came out we never did get him here and I had to get him from eBay cost me a arm and a leg for him.

I got 2 GITD fright riders from Argos (uk)- took one back to be replaced cause he had colour on his head! (Know know that a rare factory fault) and we opened one and the other went away. They are still selling for silly silly money

I also bought the flocked ones from ebay and have all except the white flocked stump smash and prism break one (which I am bidding for as we speak)

No, I don't know, we'll have to wait and see till next year, the exclusiveness ends december 31. Maybe same as Enchanted Hoot Loop, I can just guess.

The problem is not in the UK only. We have some troubles getting some Skylanders and promotions here in Canada too, while we are just next to USA =(

You know, I feel for you. That's easy to say when you live in a region that gets almost all variants and waves first (except a few well documented cases). But keep in mind, we aren't always on the good end of regional issues. For years and years we would lag behind Japan on game releases (and sometimes not even get them). Back in the SNES days, we would have to wait MONTHS to get the hottest games and system. Not much more to offer you than I know how you feel by needing to import some of the things you want, often at quite a premium.

Best thing to do is to redefine what you consider a "complete" collection, as I did by accepting that I wasn't going to be able to get the chase variants, GitD Fright Rider, Show exclusives or other things like the XBox Green Gil Grunt. You are in control of what you are satisfied with, not a number in the game.

That's true and it's not your fault or mine but the company. And the people who sell them on eBay. I am lucky and can afford to pay big amounts for the rare ones but I feel sorry for the people who don't and the kids who want them and can't afford them.

No on Fright Rider. Also no on GitD Cynder, didn't get my starter at Walmart. I have a cell on my collection spreadsheet in red for them (meaning out, but I don't have). I briefly looked into Fright Rider, but my son rarely plays him anyways and it wasn't worth what people were charging - to me for simply changing the color on a spreadsheet (and that's what it would be). Maybe if I had a good trade option I'd go for it, but I don't have any contacts in regions that got him.

Most kids only have fleeting desire for the variants. They like and want them, but they really just want to play as them. If you can afford to try to collect them all, then you have to accept you need to spend a bit more for some of the rarer ones for your region. All regions get all the characters, in one form or another - so it isn't like they are being denied a unique character, just a re-color.

I think the concern for kids getting variants, however noble, is misplaced. They forget about those things very quickly. Collectors have options, and I get that they would want more readily available and cheaper options. But to frame it as a problem for the kids isn't entirely accurate. Again, I have sympathy for the problem, I sometimes wrestle with the lengths I go to for some of the figures.

Wish I had know you sooner cause I had a spare GITD fright rider that I gave away to a guy in Canada about 6 days ago and only charged for the posting.

I bought 2 of them and he got one from granny and one from a uncle. But I wouldn't dream of selling them for more then what they are worth. That's wrong
