Question: Does the Swap Force ruin the ending for Giants? [CLOSED]

Hey guys,

I just got a copy of Swap Force for the PS4 yesterday with my new system. It's the only PS4 game I've got and I wanted to start it up and try out the new system. I haven't finished the last few chapters of Giants yet though, my brother tells me there's a teaser at the end of Giants. But what I want to know is if I start up SF will it ruin the ending of Giants? Are the stories continuous or separate? Please help! I reeeeeaaaallly wanna boot up my PS4 game but don't wanna ruin my Giants experience! Thanks!

The ending to Giants kinda doesn't match up to the story of Swap Force.

Since in Giants, Kaos meets up with his mother again, but in Swap Force, she appears to him through his screen.

Yes... And no. Let's say, if you didn't finished Giants yet, then you might have another surprise in Swap Force, but the games are separate. How is the game for the PS4?

The story is separate. You don't need to finish Giants to understand the story of SWAP Force and playing SWAP doesn't ruin the ending of Giants.

What did SF didn't ruin that was from Giants,that's a better question.Giant empowerment became a bit of treasure,kicking the Portal Master lore out of the door,turning Dread-Yacht into a horrid thing in primary colors,older 'landers are frustrating to use compared to the new ones,all new characters and old characters intruduced thrown out and replaced by totally cool and radical new ones that actually are even more forgettable.
And that thing Aura mentioned too.Not to mention...
Kaos was shown to have been quite resourceless.His Castle was attacked and the minions in there all defeated,the Macguffin of the day ran away,and Conquertron was a goner. Yes,maybe if his mother had reinforcements it'd make sense,but if according to SF it didn't happen,how the heck did he manage to enlist Greebles,run out of Trolls,and build a giant airship thingy,and no one noticed and alerted the Skylanders?

@Drek95 I don't know yet!!! smilie The universe doesn't want me to have my PS4 LOL! So I wake up today excited to open it up and: 1. My routers aren't working right... gotta spend all afternoon reinstalling/rebooting fixing them, 2. My laptop got some bad update or virus that killed it, gotta restore that and reinstall everything cuz as a student that's more critical, 3. Laptop now won't connect to routers, gotta fix that, 4. a light switch blew a fuse connected to my TV setup, which blew the surge protector, gotta fix that and make sure everything is working alright, 5. the SHELF holding up my systems collapsed... gotta fix that (at least the PS4 wasn't on it yet), 6. my samsung HDMI cable hasn't arrived yet from Amazon and my TV doesn't like the included cable with the PS4, so I'm not gonna get a good signal, 7. LET'S NOT FORGET ALL THE ISSUES WITH THE PS4 LAUNCH INCLUDING: FAILURE TO DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE/INSTALL IT, FAILURE TO CONNECT TO THE PSN, NON-WORKING APPS AND FEATURES.... and the fear of the blue light of death once I manage to update the system in safe mode from a flash drive.....

DOOOOMED! LOL!!! I give up universe! hahahaha!

Gah,I read that as you wanting to buy SF after Giants,my bad smilie
But the spoilers are just reinforcing what Aura said - the ending doesn't match the beginning of SF,it's almost like they aren't in the right order.A lot was simply forgotten over the new story for no reason whatsoever.
