I find it weird that in game they are as tall as normal characters but on the toy they are almost as tall as giants...
I guess it is because the swapability...

*Ahem* Sorry, but I don't see why you like Shroomboom so much. He's terrible. I was actually looking forward to him, but he ended up disappointing me.

Most characters are floating or not standing up straight though.

The toys are the same. Take pop Fizz and compare it to S2 Pop fizz

People have different opinions! I understand that! Others should too! But, that doesn't mean they need to hate so strongly in front of others who might love the character!

I did. The straps of his backpack in S2 aren't around his arms unlike S1.

Actually, the Giants ended up smaller than I thought they would be prior to seeing them in person. In particular, Tree Rex looked a lot smaller than I thought he would. I think it comes down to the Giants are supposed to be big and imposing, but making the figures much larger would have increased cost a bit more, and they knew they were reaching the limit of what they could reasonably charge for parents to buy for everyday purchases.

Swap Force need to be the size they are so the halves will be big enough to attach correctly (easily) and so they won't be lost/be put in the mouths of smaller children. I think they are intended to be regular Skylanders so the Giants don't lose their "thing" in game.

I agree about the disproportion of toys, assuming that Giants should be bigger... Like gigantic... Yet, if we want to be so detailed, please bare the fact that Swapper on the example is actually rising in tornado (I guess his legs are making him bit shorter).

Better examples to compare would be Thumpback or Tree Rex which are actually the smallest Giant around. Rattle Shake is also very big and he's technically not jumping, rising nor levitating.

Overall, that's messing up the fun a bit, but toys are created to be imaginative. If someone wants to play with them, literally not in game, it can be good to make him strain his brain a bit harder.

It really depends from the point of view and expectations.
