I don't suppose anyone has any reliable tips to get the third star on this particular challenge? Regardless of what I do, I am, without fail, just a little bit shy. I suspect I'm losing points to enemies falling into the sand pit, but is there something else I'm missing? Please advise!

Try not to have them fall into the pit what I did was continuously fight them and collect EVERYTHING the enemies dropped even food counts as points if it helps always be moving, collect as much as you can, try not to let too many enemies fall into the pit, and it really racks up points if you can keep your multiplier on 10

Play it on Nightmare. From what I've seen enemies falling in the pit still award full points.

Yes, play it on nightmare. You'll end up with more points than you need.

Me being a bit of a wuss, I opted for Medium (I have some dignity, so not easy!), and by some miracle I've scraped through with just enough. So difficulty does affect points? Thanks for the tips, in any case, and hopefully someone else might get some use out of this.

You get a lot more points when you play at a harder difficulty
