A Skylanders: Swap Force UK comparison price shopping guide, created for both the parent and collector in mind. Scroll to the end to see overall cheapest items. Written by 'MissBarghest'. Some things I've explained here, like the variants being shop exclusive, are written because I made this guide mainly for parents of Skylander fans who may not understand certain aspects of Skylander collecting. It took me a long time to make this and I really hope it helps both parents and collectors make the best purchasing choices.

All these prices are based in major UK stores only (no online only sites) and are in GBP. These prices are accurate as of 31 October 2013 and have been listed as regular price, no offers or vouchers involved. However, you can most certainly get these items cheaper by using in-store point cards or having a good look online. The items listed here are starter packs and figures exclusive to Skylanders: Swap Force only. Nothing related like other merchandise or previous games and figures. The stores listed below are Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, Toys R Us, Smyth's Toys, Argos, GAME and HMV. The Xbox One and PS4 consoles are to be released this year, so there is no news on the pricing for the starter packs, so currently they will be unlisted until release date.

(Note: some stores stock variant or 'temporarily' exclusive figures, for example, ASDA is the only store to find Enchanted Hoot Loop, Legendary variant figures are exclusive to Toys R Us and Argos sells 'temporary' exclusives, such as Fire Kracken and Grilla Drilla. However, eventually all shops will stock 'temporary' exclusives and most likely, for cheaper. There is no specific release date for this, though. But it usually isn't very long. Also not all shops currently stock Swap Force double packs.)

(WARNING: I highly recommend you do NOT buy the Skylanders: Swap Force Wii starter pack at this time for the reason that there are many reports coming in that the game frequently freezes almost to the point of it being un-playable when played on a Wii console. Activison is aware of this problem, and are looking into it. If you need help regarding this issue, please contact Activision's customer services. For now, choose another starter pack if you have another console as well as a Wii. If not, I insist you do not buy a Wii starter pack at this time and wait for news on the matter from Activison. However, for completeness reasons, I will still list the prices of the Wii starter packs, anyway.)

This is useful, however there are some important things you're missing. Toys R Us have a sale on at the moment so all Skylanders are £1 cheaper than they normally are; even then they don't have a free delivery option for online orders. The same for Tesco and Asda who also don't have a free delivery option, but Tesco do allow you to pick them up in store.

So Toys R Us won't be cheaper for much longer, and Tesco and Asda have the added cost of delivery on top whereas GAME and Sainsbury's have free delivery (not too sure about the others).

Thank you for informing me of this, Bionicle. I didn't realise there was an offer on as Toys R Us. I didn't see anything about offers mentioned on the site nor in store. But I will be updating this regularly so I'll try to make this as accurate as possible.

Also the reason I've listed those as cheapest is because I've made this guide for shopping in store rather than online.
