I went with Slobber Tooth's chomping path and with that, bought the upgrade where he eats enemies.
However, when I play with him and try to eat enemies, all he does is store them in his mouth and spits them out. He doesn't actually eat the enemies and gains health like he presumably I'd supposed to do. Is this a glitch? Or am I missing something here? Help would be good because I'm considering resetting him and going with the tail slam path instead.

It takes time for him to eat them. If you press that attack again instead of waiting he will spit the enemy out. If you want him to regain health you have to wait and avoid pressing that button. You'll know when he's eaten the enemy because a little heart will float up to indicate the health gain and XP bubbles will appear for the defeated enemy. The XP pops out of Slobbertooth, not where the enemy was first grabbed. So if you're faced with one enemy you can just snap him up and keep walking.

But kinda off topic, which path is best? I'm seriously considering the tail path...

From what I've heard in the PVP form, it's bad for PVP, I like it though.

I went with the chomping path originally because I liked the gimmick of eating enemies. But I found it slow and didn't like the rest of the upgrades. So I reset him and went for the tail path. I MUCH prefer the tail path. It's more powerful and fun. |
