If there was one I suspect we'd have heard about it by now, considering Hallowe'en is this week, LOL!
Now, "pumpkin carving kit" sounds like a set of saws and sculpting knives and such, I suspect you're REALLY interested in templates, something to use those kits WITH. Didn't watch it other than making sure they were doing what I thought they were, but looks like SkylandersBoyandGirl had the same idea: First result when I Googled "skylanders jack-o-lantern templates". Other results included sites with free templates, but I didn't hunt through them to see if anybody had Skylanders ones... Looks like SkylanderBoyandGirl found some somewhere, though, LOL!

You bet me to it bluerosedruid...lol. But i was going to be a bit nicer tho....he carved them wrong....your not spose to cut all the way through with this type of carving. Your doing a picture, not a simple face... 2 eyes a nose an a jagged mouth...or whatever mouth.
As he found out cutting all the way thru causes weak spots. You scrap off the pumpkins outer skin of the lines of your picture, carving deeper in different areas to create depth. Then use a spoon to thin the inner wall(if need be)enough so the candle can shine through. |

Phoenix_Lord, that type of carving is horribly advanced, most people go the simpler route. And you can indeed make a fine jack-o-lantern depicting actual things by cutting all the way through... My best pumpkin ever was one I made by eye-balling a rubber skull we had, on which I liked to put my sunglasses, so I carved the pumpkin that way, and it came out great! And yes, I cut all the way through, actually this was before anyone had come up with the part-way technique you described.
(Again, I didn't actually watch the video, I have no idea how well they did, LOL!)
