Has anybody seen any good comparisons between the Wii and Wii U graphics? Is it worth upgrading to the Wii U?

The Wii U is waayyyyy better than the crummy old wii.

I played Swap Force at an event on WiiU and the graphics were amazing!
Played it today on the Wii, and I thought I was playing a PS2 game again...

Moral of the story, always go the newer version, if you can.

yes I played both versions and they are like night and day, the Wii was washed out and hard to see things on, and the Wii U looks gorgeous

Those are some of the good reasons why I upgraded from the original Wii to the super awesome Wii U.

I don't know about the Wii and Wii U but the graphics are definitely different from Giants to SWAP Force on the Xbox 360. Here's some screenshots I've taken to compare here with Giants on the left and SWAP Force on the right.

Can someone post a comparison please. I really want to see how bad the graphics are on the Wii before I buy the game (all I have is a Wii).

I don't know how many people are going to have Swap Force for wii and wii u.

Giants looks better.

Yeah, the Giants graphics seem crisper and have more contrast between the light and shadow areas the character. The colors seem more vivid too. The Swap force graphics are fine, but they seem to look closer to how the actual toys look.

Does it look more cartoonish in swap force?

I don't think screenshots tell the whole story. The cropping is done unevenly, and the resolution of the images they're taken from might not even be the same. The characters themselves don't look way better in Swap Force, but the game absolutely does overall look much better.

As far as Wii vs Wii U, I feel like the question itself has a built-in misunderstanding. The Wii U is the most powerful console between the 360 and PS3. It's not just a super powered Wii. It really is an all-new system and it's meant to compete with the next generation of consoles: PS4 and Xbox ONE. It can do graphics up to 1080p. The Wii only has up to a 480p resolution. Swap Force probably only runs in 720p, but still. If you're on the fence about the Wii U because you're not sure if it looks enough better to warrant a purchase, don't think of it like that. Of course it looks a lot better. The question is just whether there are more games you want on it other than Swap Force, which if you know much about the console, I think there ought to be. Just don't buy the system for one game, though.
