Well I am about half way through the story mode (just got 3rd elemental) and think I have played enough to form an educated opinion. First of all I thought Giants was too short and too easy and with no new adventure packs I sailed through the game. It was a bit boring griding city of arkus to stat up my landers.

When it came to Swap Force I hoped the story would last longer and be more of a challange. To be honest they have not disapointed here. Doing each chapter from scrath and seeking all collectables takes about 45-60 mins. A good length. Some of the collectables are a pain to find. Some I gave up and will go back once I have finished Story. (I need Blast Zone's soul gem and cant find it anywhere). I find some of the swap zone's are quite hard. Like Teleport and Rockets, some I have had to give up on. Maybe I should replay on easy???

One thing that really does my head in is the repeating of cut scenes when returning to Woodborrow, say for example after replaying a swap zone or a survival battle. I know you can press triangle to skip but it only allows you to skip in sections. This is a bummer.

I do find leveling up my skylanders is quite longwinded, levels 1-7 seem to be fairly quick but from there is slows right down.
I like the introduction of the Portal Master rank, however I feel this ranking up is also very slow, but that may just be due to how I am playing the game (story mode first, no bonus levels just yet).

Giants Treasure Chests - It is good to see some interactivity for giants however it could have been something better like a feat of strength to access a secret area as most people's giants are fully powered up and dont need treasure.

Mini Games - Although I am gutted to see Skystones taken out there is a fair whack of mini games, but in my opinion this my mark for mini games goes down a little notch.

All in all though this a great leap forwards and the game is so much better, the jumping although very simple adds a whole new feel to the game.

My overall mark 9/10
