how to load all characters in the 3DS game [CLOSED]

Okay really stupid question but how do you load all the characters in the 3DS game? I started the game and I was only able to load two characters. Please help.

After you beat the first level, you'll be able to access Boomtown, the main hub area of the game. There's a portal there that allows you to load your Skylanders into the game.
