Q.A ) If I were to beat this game on Nightmare difficulty, can the Hard difficulty trophy be stacked as well, or would that require a 3rd (ugh) playthrough?

The Score challenges. If you tackle them on higher difficulties, can you rack up more points to get the 3 stars? I ask because I tried doing the the first level of the game in this mode and was shocked to find that 1.) I had only gotten one star, and 2.) That in order to get the third star you needed to have racked up a crazy amount of points. Any help on how to approach these levels would also be really appreciated. Because already all those star related trophies are beginning to feel like a royal pain...
