I don't know much about Blast Zone, but I feel that it would be stupid to pick the swords path along with the tentacle path for Washbuckler (They look like they are almost the same thing). So would you choose tentacles and the bubble gun, or the swords and ink? Or am I wrong and you think it isn't either of these?

I mainly care about Washbuckler, but Blast Zone would be helpful too.

Tentacles and bubble gun. Sword is powerful as is. Plus, if you don't pick bubble gun, you have no good ranged attack.

And Blast Zone's lower path is probably better with the fireball.

I chose bubblegun for the top path and tentacles for buckles bottom. Ink master just seemed not as helpful and such a slow attack

I chose the same thing, I was wondering if the Sword Path was so good that it made the Range/Melee combo inferior

Wash soul gem gives him a good ranged attack

Haven't upgraded Wash Buckler's bottom half, but I chose bubble gun for the top, and I haven't regretted it yet.

I have dark Wash Buckler (getting standard when Xbox-1 comes out), so I picked ink for the lower half... just because it suits his dark paint-job. Top half I picked bubble-gun - just because big bitey fish seem more dark/evil than the sword.
Will obviously go the other way with the 'normal' toy.

For blast zone, I picked the flame/shield move, which is good if you picked the flame-circle move on the top half. If you'd picked the bomb one you'd probably want the fireball move more.

something interesting to consider:
if you pick the bomb path for Blast Zone's top, it isn't just his bombs that catch flame when thrown through the fire wall.
Any projectiles shot through it will ignite as well. Tested spikes and breath from pop thorn, roller brawl's skateblades...

I went with the bubble gun and the tentacles for my dark wash buckler. There's something about watching enemies get their crap ruined by the bubbles, while you're indiscriminately slapping anything else that moves with tentacles, that just brings a smile to my face.
