Portal of Powers not cross platform? [CLOSED]

My Wii U portal of power does not work with my 360 smilie I had thought they were cross platform

The are except only 360 portals work on 360 and no other portals work on it

If the pattern established with Giants still applies:

Wii/WiiU/PS3 Portal:
-Works with each other
-Doesn't work with 3DS (due to lack of IR port)
-Doesn't work on 360

3DS Portal:
-Works on 3DS
-Works on Wii/WiiU/PS3 (with a Type-B Mini-USB connector)
-Doesn't work on 360

360 Portal:
-Only works on 360

Xbox360 Portals of Power are useless on all other platforms.
