Hello everyone. I'm making a grand return to the site to ask you all one question. Should I get Swap Force? I've enjoyed the first 2 games pretty well, but when I went back to Giants after a while, I got kinda bored. Is Swap Force better than the previous games?

Better than Giants, equal to SSA in my opinion.

Hey is there anything you want me to bring for the rest of the week and if so it’s so cool that you can do something and just do it like that |

I personally think it's a little better than SSA and I'm only half way through. There's just so much to do in this game. Don't get me wrong SSA is a gem but this game is a mine cart full of gems.

The chapters are so long my son gets tired of playing before we complete them.

I'm totally loving Swap Force! The chapters are lengthy and have this interesting way of having different areas of levels (you can miss treasure, swap / element zones, etc. if you don't explore) without making it impossible to find out what you're suppose to do. With the main story, element and dual element zones, swap zones, items to collect, characters to upgrade, swap zones to complete, different modes to play (survival, time attack, etc. *some of which unlocks after main story completion) etc. there's no shortage of stuff to do. Plus, everything you do increases your Portal Master level, which continues to improve stuff, unlock items for purchase, etc. Some of that level *does* rely on having characters, but it also relies on tons of other things, too.
Plus (personally) I love some of the new characters they've released (Rattle shake! Roller Brawl! Zoo Lou!) and the "swappability" thing for the Swap Force characters is awesome both in game and out. In game it leads to having two trees per character and the different skills associated with them being able to be mixed and matched. Out of game the way the magnets work to get the characters to swap looks / feels cool, it gives the figures a bit of articulation at the waist, and it works really well. (And lets face it: some of these combinations are *hilarious*!) There is a thread with a ton of reviews kicking around and the critics seem to agree with me that Skylanders Swap Force is a solid entry in the series, and (in several reviewers' opinions, based on scores) an improvement in several key areas. Ultimately, I'd say look around. From what I've read on these forums not all of us love it, but what you need to look for as you read is what will or won't work for you. That's the best way to make a decision. Good luck.

most game sites say that it is better than the previous games but it really amounts to how much are you willing to spend on the game in a way.
If i was you i would buy it but that is just my opinion

But as everyone has said it's a great game so far and I've only done 3 levels. The wife and I are having way more "fun" than the previous games.

Well, let's put it this way: do you want to play an all-star game, or sit there with old games, that you have already played. Your choice.

Hell, I'd suggest just getting the starter and playing with your old toys. If you like it, start picking up new figures, otherwise just enjoy a new game with your old crew.
