Curious - anyone know how Dark Mega Ram Spyro and Dark Ninja Stealth Elf show up in SWAP Force? Do they show as Series 2/3?
Oh, and Volcanic Eruptor... Does he scan as a series 3?

Are you sure you aren't meaning Giants?

They show up as Dark Spyro and Dark Stealth Elf. No Series 2/3.

Wait - they don't even show up as Dark Mega Ram/Ninja?

I believe someone posted that they used the same id for Dark MegaRam that they used for Dark Spyro. Can someone verify it has all of the upgrades/wow pows as Mega Ram?
Wow, now that's a cluster. They can't even match advertising? (I'm betting they ran out of text room). Sloppy Activision...sloppy.

He has everything regular Mega Ram Spyro has. The first thing I did when I noticed that they didn't have Mega Ram or Ninja in their names was check the upgrades.

He's after Swap Force though...kinda surprised it's just as "Dark Spyro" and not "Special Dark Spyro" however.

He does have the little "special" title below his name when place on the portal. Sorry that I forgot to mention it in my original post.

Here's a more concise breakdown of Dark Stealth Elf and Dark Mega Horn Spyro:
In Swap Force: -Stealth Elf appears as "Dark Stealth Elf: Special" -Dark Spyro appears as "Dark Spyro: Special"...just like S1 Dark Spryo, but does count separately. In Giants: -Stealth Elf appears as "Series 2 Special Stealth Elf" -Dark Spyro appears as "Series 2 Special Spyro" -Your inventory will only count one 'special' of each kind, meaning if you put Series 3 Ninja Stealth Elf on the portal then Dark Stealth Elf, it only shows one icon for "Special Stealth Elf". And yeah, it won't appear as "Series 2 Special", just "Special". Hope this helps. |

So do Darks' attacks look different or something? So far they don't seem all that great...

Haven't tested yet, wife's taping Y&R, but from the upgrade screen Spyro's no different.

Sorry for the double post but since I can't delete the old one: the Dark skylanders are not different from their regular versions, with the exception that Dark Stealth Elf lacks her bandana and looks SO much better for it. Different move lists my eye.

DMRS and DNSE both had shadow-y effects t their moves in their trailers. I guess that didn't make it to the final game?

The shadowy effects are there, but that's it. The attacks were advertised as 'different' between the two but they're the same. Only advantage is Dark Mega-Ram Spyro (who is just Dark Spyro even on the card) has access to the two new attacks his S3 counterpart does. With that said, I'm going to guess that if you play DMRS in the 3DS SSA, he'll just be a regular Spryo.

Does regular Dark Spyro keep his unique purple flames in his attacks?

I was a little disappointed that Dark Spyro only shows up as Spyro in Spyro's Adventure and Giants. That kind of sucks since Dark Spyro was a character in the first game.

Wait, so Series 1 Dark Spyro and Mega-ram Dark Spyro both had wow-pows in Swapforce?

No, only Mega-Ram, which gets the same Wow-Pow as regular Mega-Ram.
