I am not sure if the UFO hat is a Target exclusive, but someone is selling the cards for $4 for those who did not pre-order their Swap-Force with Target. I found out about the UFO hat just now and quickly went to eBay and searched for the card since Target takes the cards off the shelves before the item comes out.

Looks good to me. I bet they'll go up to $10+ if you can't get the hat in another way in game.

Basically why I wanted to get it. No reports show that the UFO hat is obtainable any other way for now. I didn't want to miss out now since the card is cheap (I had $7 eBay credit so it was free) only to find out that the card would go over $40 or so later when the %^$@ hits the fan about the card.

Yeah, demand hasn't caught up to the realization. Once people start to complete everything, they'll start to realize it and hit eBay. My .02.

I have 20 of them. Got them free from employee who was going to throw them away. I talked him out of that.

Can you use one card more than once?

The card acts the same as any other item. Granted with out special abilities. But yes, you can use it to unlock the hat on as many profiles as you chose to.

And its a really useful hat. Especially so early in the game

Today I got the preorder card for Pacman 3DS. I'm sure I won't buy the game when it releases it next month, but you get a free toy/figure with the preorder card.

Wow I nailed several of those months ago, good to see that's what they were about then, I have atleast six of them, various systems

Was curious about the Pacman toys the other week. Any impact backing out of the pre-order?

Stupid question perhaps: do you need the specific card for your platform or does the platform printed on the card only come into play when they were used to do the actual pre-order?

All cards should work on any platform. Just like your figures.

The RFID chips in the cards are just like the ones in the figures...can put it on any system's portal. Like you said the printing on the card is just for the pre-order.

Went back to Target and they still had the cards out. The guy told me they were not supposed to sell them anymore (he didn't even know why they were still out), but he got permission to sell me one. Only caveat was it had to still work in their computer. Thankfully, it worked, and he could sell it to me. Of course, he went and removed the remaining cards after the sale. Now, if only my Dark Starter would get here....

i ordered two little plastic toy story alien figures last week and intend to affix the rfid chip from the pre-order card between the base of the figure and a piece of blue plexi glass. Hopefully before i get time to do that i run into something better than the toy story alien figures to use though, because i'm not big fan of crossing disney into skylanders, but it was the best/cheapest thing i could find that fit the ufo hat theme.

I picked up the Dark Edition after I had already purchased the Target card, but held onto it after seeing the SkylanderBoyandGirl video saying it might have a special power. Glad I did.

Also check with the guys in the Electronics section. They may have one left from a customer who didn't want their card. That's how I got mine. A little late now as Sunday night would've been best. A few have appeared on fleabay if you're desperate.

I had a similar idea when i first got the card and saw there was a RFID chip in it when i was walking out of the store with it.
I will post pic's here when i get it done.

I got all six different Pacman pre-order toys when I first saw them a few weeks ago. My son is a fan of the show, and for $6 it was a good deal. The only limit I saw on the printing was four per system. I grabbed three for Wii U and three for 3DS. Had no problem paying for all six in the same transaction.

No impact from backing out of the pre-order. The only "negative" is you lose your $1 deposit if you don't pick up the game within a few days of release.

I was planning on sticking it to the bottom of the McDonald's Kaos figure. That way I have an excuse of keeping the toy with the Skylanders.

I extricated it from the cardboard. It's the usual adhesive RFID package - sticky on one side. Yeah, Kaos isn't a UFO theme, but at least i have an excuse to keep him
