Bonuses for Accolades? [CLOSED]

In the last two games, the bonuses for completing each accolade was fairly explicit. Now, we have the list of "stars", but there doesn't seem to be anything saying what the in-game benefit (if any) from them is.

Is there any purpose to accolades this time around, or are they just for show?

Accolades (and most things in the game) awards stars that in turn impact your portal master rank. Additional unlocks occur after achieving a certain number of stars.
