My idea was something like swap force, but a little more complicated.
Name: Skylanders Shape Shift Squad
New innovations: Each character has two sides to it, for instance, Magma Master is a fire skylander who uses streams of lava, and volcanic glass tomahawks as close range attacks, but if you turn him around, and put his second side on the gold marker (like how the swap force have those symbols on their bases), you would have Glacier Guard, an ice and water skylander. There would be one skylander for each elemental combo (fire/undead, fire/life, fire/air), and each side would look and play similar to the other, but different enough so it doesn't seem useless.
Also returning will be reposed giants, Swap Zones (but no reposes or new ones, as that would be a little difficult and tedious), dual element gates, and reposed versions of the forgotten eight from SSA, as well as eight new core, and lightcore characters.
Story: in ancient times, after the defeat of the Arkeyans, an evil sorcerer known as Lord DoomHand arose to power. He used a magical pendant that allowed him to control all eight elements to take command of skylands. A young Eon gathered a team of mighty skylanders and sent them to defeat the tyrant. At the end of the long battle, Lord DoomHand is defeated and encased in stone, but his pendant bursts into pieces and releases an energy that splits the heroes into two opposite biengs, and banishes them to earth. Now, you must restore the Shape Shift Squad to skylands to defeat Kaos, His mother, and the Awakened Lord DoomHand, who together, plan on destroying the skylanders once and for all.
This will be the first game where Kaos is not the final battle, as this takes place in Lord DoomHand's new castle, and you must battle him, now powered by his restored pendant.
