I'm pretty sure this just popped up today, as I was looking for this ever since Dark Starters were announced. EBgames.ca has the Wii U Dark Edition with this disclaimer "(Quantities Extremely Limited)"
This is awesome because we were getting two PS3 starters (myself and daughter) and can now get two different versions!

So here's some interesting news to add...."only particular stores were allocated supply" and "only 75 copies across Canada"....plan accordingly.

Only 75 copies in Canada? How rare are they making the dark starter pack?! Now I'm doubting whether I'll even find one in stores.

As far as EBGames states, they aren't getting any to put on the shelf beyond pre-orders. Almost all Collector's Editions with games are pre-order only, as the supply is limited.

75 doesn't seem like a low number really....I mean how many people actually own a WiiU who play Skylanders? (I'm guessing most players are Wii or 360) Only particular stores are getting them period, which makes it more of a pain! I was there the minute my location opened, and it turns out the closest location given copies is over an hour away. I've just resolved to get the PS3 Dark Starter, and the WiiU normal one (whether it be day one or down the road on sale)

Not to mention the fact that one store could have 5, while the one closest to you has 2.

And, the eBayers, don't forget about them.

I went in to my location, and he confirmed they won't be getting any...employee yesterday should've been reading his employee emails apparently! But the allocation is based on sales annually, so the biggest stores will be getting them all. Ah well, not a big deal as I've got the PS3 Dark and WiiU normal ordered, it all balances out
