Stink Bomb and Popthorn. Didn't like the appearance of them. But then I discovered how cute Popthorn is deflated and he's also a dragon so that won me over. Didn't like Stink Bomb because he didn't look 'skunk' enough but then I grew to like him.

Grim Creeper and Star Strike now I love them

Night Shift Grim Creeper

Freeze blade and night shift

I hated none of them but the ones I was unsure of were :-
Smolderdash - looks ugly but gameplay looks amazing
Zoo Lou - looked like a fat version of Slam Bam
Rubble Rouser and Doom Stone - look too similar but attacks look fun on both
Fire Kraken - I seriously dislike Chinese dragons (stupid overgrown lizards) but his attacks make up for it

Smolderdash was a surprise to me because of her really cool backstory. Her design was so hideous and overly simple (seriously, it doesn't even look like a Skylander!) that I expected they would not put effort into her, but her backstory shows quite the contrary. I haven't checked her video because I want to leave gameplay for a few as a discovery from playing them, though.

Rattle Shake took a while to grow on me but when I saw he could plant undead snakes in the ground I was sold. His Soul Gem look is much, much nicer than his standard design as well, which was one of my main beefs with him: his design just felt... Well, kind of messy, I'd expect him to be Earth, and it wasn't especially great anyway. I know that may be shallow but I just didn't like his design at all for some reason.

I already liked Riptide but I wasn't really excited for him, but his gameplay video is making me hyped... Does that count?

And on the contrary... I was really excited for Dune Bug, Scorp, Night Shift and Fryno, but was disappointed.
Dune Bug: Gameplay looks too similar to Swarm.
Scorp: Gameplay and backstory were underwhelming.
Night Shift: Gameplay looks too simple(just punching, with an occasional teleport/bite).
Fryno: Personality (the best thing about him) was made goofy like everyone else.

Characters I didn't like which still haven't grown on me: Punk Shock and Stink Bomb.

Grim Creeper and Fryno. I love a skylander as long as it has at least some melee attacks.

Grim Creeper and Boom Jet.

The main ones were Rattle Shake and Spy Rise. Rattle Shake because he took the spot of the undead swapper spot. And Spy Rise because he took the spot of the climb swapper spot. There are more I will post later.

I don't really like Roller Brawl... We'll see how she plays I guess but so far I'm not a fan.

Bumble Blast, at first I hated him but shooting bees sounds fun and he isn't that terrible looking ( unlike riptide )

Speaking of Melee Attacks---I am shocked we haven't introduced button combos yet based on CONNECTED BLOWS. I'd love to stun an enemy and then unload on them in a combo string. I know this isn't Mortal Kombat, but it would make it sooooo much interesting.

Hoot Loop and Stink Bomb. I didn't care for them at first, but now I can't wait for them!

Boom Jet: His design is unoriginal, but he has some powerful attacks and actually looks like a tough fighter with all the types of bombs he throws.
Scratch: She seemed kinda boring at first, but she sure has some interesting moves and looks very fast.
Pop Thorn: Never hated just thought he looked a like there wasn't much potential, but now I see that he has some great moves, homing missiles and an incredibly adorable look. He's so cute when not puffed up.
Rubble Rouser: Again didn't hate, but thought he didn't look that interesting. He sure does have some cool moves though with the raining boulders and drill hammer with more boulders.

Now I was also gonna list Dune Bug, but I already loved his design and seeing his gameplay made it clear to me he's going to be one fun bug to add to my collection. To me he's what we should have gotten in Giants as opposed to Pop Fizz first. Nothing wrong with Pop Fizz he just gets boring to play after a while.

Pop thorn - so cute deflated.

Smolderdash - I just disliked her but she's in my top 5 cores now
Spy rise - He didn't look like a fun swapper to me , but when i saw gameplay he looked great and his attacks are fantastic
Popthorn - first nothing special.. But he's sooo cute!!
Bumble blast - I thought he looked ugly first , but he is really funny

Grilla Drilla:I wanted to sue activison when i saw him, but when i found out his attacks and how his drill splits into legs, i fell in love
Doom Stone: I have a thing against Drill Skylanders, I thought he was just a golem with a drill but when i saw his attacks, i changed my mind
Zoo lou: when i first saw him i was thinking White Super powered Caveman, Now ive seen his gameplay and he is in my top 10

Not really sure... I mean is this just new ones? But I guess I could list some new ones


Rattle Shake: I dunno just didn't care for him when i saw he was in the 3DS starter pack... well now, i dunno if he's like a 'yippie' kind yet but I don't, not care, for him now.

Smolderdash: Well, When I first saw the name... I was thinking it was a guy or some kind of slug or i don't know... i heard things... But after seeing that it's a her... and seeing her, I can't wait to get her.


Older Skylanders:


Voodood: he was one of the 'eh' skylanders. But I have liked him a little more after getting him. "Voodood has great strength, Axe too," I like some of those catch phrases.

Double Trouble: Another 'eh' skylander but after seeing some of his moves... yeah i like him more now.

Chop Chop: well he was a little, i dunno 'eh' in a way. I just didn't care for him... but that all changed when I got him. his attacks are awesome.

Hot Dog: I dunno... never did care for that bread of dog. *the bread Hot Dog is.* and well, I'm like, hey look, Eruptor's got a dog. and even him I didn't really care for. Anyways, after getting Hot Dog, that Comet slam is Awesome!!


On the other side:

Ninjini: When i first saw her i'm like "MUST HAVE!!" but now, I do still like her looks and the character... just her moves are a little 'eh' and disappointing. I try to just deal with them though.

Shroom Boom: I realy thought he was cool... but eh his primary attack with no lock on... well it's hard to hit. So he's short of dropped in how much I like him.

for me i hated pop thorn at fist, i realy like him now


i used to like s1/s2 stealth elf, but the more i look at them the more i hate them
i NEED a replacement and quick, with is why i am so excited for DNSNE!

Riptide: At first, I really wanted him, but then after seeing more of his design, I don't like him as much.
I do still like him.

Hoot loop because I use to look at it with the same hate for shroom boom. A wizard owl seriously?

absolutely hated Wind Up when i first saw him now i cannot wait for him =X
on the other side of that...used to love Riptide...now i think he looks kinda dumb and his gameplay wasnt very appealing..

Doom Stone-At first I thought he was gonna be pretty sucky, but with this new game play, and his awesome top powers, he went from like #25 to being in my top five
Rattle Shake-Most people who were around when he was revealed know why, and with this new game play, he has really gone higher on my list
Spy Rise-Same reason as Rattle Shake, and his game play scored him a spot in my top 10
Grilla Drilla-He looked like a pretty stupid skylander, then I saw the first game play of him, that one me over for him
Night Shift-At first he looked pretty boring, then, because of the Skylanders website showing his black hole power, he went really higher on my list
Zoo Lou-He looked pretty vague, then I saw his artwork, it gave him a top five spot
Rubble Rouser-Kind of like Doom Stone at first, then I saw him shooting a boulder before he comes up, got him pretty far in my list

That's pretty much it.

For me I never liked Spy Rise, I just thought that the halves dont complement each other.
Howver then it hit me I can swap it about. Now I am super excited for Spy Zone who I like to think of as an Iron Man skylander.

For me it was quite a shock seeing all the new characters at the very start. I just didn't feel that they had the same look and qualities to be part of the skylanders team. But now, I like the looks of all the characters. Hoot Loop and Fire Kraken are especially growing on me.

Free Ranger.

And I still kinda wish Stink Bomb had ears...
