Are Dark Variants dark powers unlocked via upgrade? [CLOSED]

Seeing this official video of Dark MR Spyro,

I think that his trademark convexity flames are now an upgrade!
Why?
Because in the video, and some initial pics, he shoots orange flames. But at the end of the video, he shoots convexity/dark flames.
Your thoughts?

Actually, it can't be, they were both DMRS, not normal DS. The horns show that.

^ I may be a bit pessimistic, but I'm guessing S2 and S3 characters will all look like this on the portal. Which is what GM78 and myself DIDN'T want...but it's just a feeling. (Between upgrades and this--if it's true---makes the task of upgrading and buying new characters basically a moot point).

It's a mix up or something, because I have a S1 DS, and his flames were purple from the start. I have played him on Console. And that is his original catchphrase, but he still said "All Fired Up!" in SG, despite it being smilie's catchphrase.

But later in the video he does have the purple flame... and is DMRS (due to the horns).

He doesnt talk either, the prototypes of the game were probably used, whether or not he WILL have the purple flames is up to the final game.

Who knows? Maybe they'll modify all of the Dark variants in some form (i.e. Dark Stealth Elf's new Wow Pow Tiger changing to purple, or the color of Dark Blast Zone's flames, etc.). Either way, we'll know in a few weeks!

On the skylanders website its says all fired up and dark spyros catchphrase has nevet been light out before
