I believe there is topics on this before but I want a way to do it on PS3.

Can I just make a new save and get my final upgrade or do I have to make a new file to get it?

It is the last one before Platinum.

Im 99% sure you can just make a new save to do it, and then just delete that save once you got it done. (unless you want to keep it for some reason)
