I don't exactly hate it. I just don't wish to participate. Seems "dark".
I have seen many saying that they do hate it. Surprised me seeing so many people say they just hate it because they don't like its role. Would've made sense if they were Christians, but they were no Christians. But they could be like some people that hate stuff just to feel they are better than those that follow it.

I love Halloween.

Well, In Belgium, we never actually did the "Trick or Treat" thing. My school, The american part at least, would go around the base and stop at the offices/rooms that the doors were open or had someone in front of them giving candy. Then we would go to the stage place, where they had the stage, bar, and other stuff and us kids would have a candy trade and roll around on chairs with wheels on them all over the hard floor of the stage. It was small, but really fun. Oh how I miss it...
I hate going door to door and knocking on peoples doors like" trick or treat", basically begging for candy...I'm afraid of people judging me alright? Ironic because I make a complete fool of myself in front of MY grade.
My small group went trick or trashing last year! We got covered in shaving cream, thus when we walked into the fire hall, we got both questioning glances and glares. We left soon after.
SO I guess its fun...

I love it and wish I went trick or treating more often when I was a kid.

But I couldn't and didn't. So now I often feel bummed out around the time.

I only like Halloween-ie for the costumes, and even then I gotta dumb down my desires because in order to not look stupid, you gotta choose something with a small amount of nerdity. I wanna be Finn the Human, but who at my school would get the joke? So my breed of nerd (Video Gamer) pretty much has to be someone from the Mario universe, or an Angry Bird. That's the only way Non-Nerds would get it. And about the breed of nerd, there are lots of different types. There is Video Gamer, Internet, TV Show/Movie, and Superhero/Comic book. I am a mixed breed, mostlu Video Gamer with a bit of internet and TV Show peppered into the mix. Ramblimg aside, if you are one of the first 3 types, costume picking is ha-ar-rd!

I only like it for the costumes.
