The ones not returning is Swap Force, will they become extremely rare like the others?

It is incredibly probable. I don't expect them to get as rare, because there are more out there, for example Bash has legendary, S1, and S2, so I don't expect him to be as rare as, say, Sunburn who only had a S1.

The new forgotten guys are:

One is supposed to be Shroomboom.

Fright Rider will become rare...but not the Giants. They will be very common, as always. In fact, Tree Rex will probably get a single release.

Fright Rider, I will have to buy him soon, while he's still stocked.

He was the one character I just couldn't find until his 3 pack came out, and people are still struggling to get him (quite a few topics on him in Toys and Mechandise).

I'd be surprised if we ever see S2 Bash again.

I don't know if you can really count the characters not returning from Gaints as "forgotten." It's just been one game, not even a year at this point. I'm even still on the hunt for series 2 Drobot and Wrecking Ball, so they're not forgotten to me.

Now, the characters from Spyro's Adventure, who have never returned, well....it does seem that their time as a member of the Skylanders may be over!
