Are 'Dark' Skylanders any different besides color? [CLOSED]

Do they get bonus stats like the legendary skylanders? I'd really rather have the ones that are the correct color, but if they have boosted stats or moves, I may get the dark edition.

Dark Spyro did more damage, but had less armour. I'd expect the same from the new crew.

While Gula avoided fully answering whether their abilities would be unique, he did say they're more of a cosmetic change. I hope he's understating or something.
At least they'll function as collectibles...

They can't change Dark Spyro, he will be the same in the sense of "more damage less armor".

Dark Ninja Stealth Elf is mentioned to have a different moveset, I'm guessing the other Dark Skylanders will have a different moveset as well.
